Two Jobs, Many Mobs
So, after a Heroic BF run with some guildies last night, it seems I'm a little rusty on my multi-tanking. Our healer died many times (sorry Zarindora).
By the end I had gotten some of my multi-tanking effectiveness back, but I think I still need some more practice. I'm not sure what I'm practicing for, as we usually have a prot pally going in to any raid, and they tank the trash. But I feel that in the interest of being a well-developed tank, I should get some more practice on tanking multiple mobs. I'm not sure when I'll be able to do this, what with the working multiple jobs, but I'll find some time.
Also, I've determined that a TClap and a Demo Shout aren't enough to stay above healing threat in a heroic. Spell Reflect is, however. (<3 Spell Reflect)

| | Sometimes it's tough tanking multiple mobs, especially when there's no option to LoS lasso casters. It even sucks even more if you have no CC options. I usually start with a Shield Slam to the Skull mob (and/or Concussion Blow) then TClap and DemoShout to get all their attention on me for the next couple of heals. I'll then proceed to Devastate/Sunder each mob at least once (while assuring the current killed mob is still beating on me and taunting accordingly if it's not). Timed right while using the appropriate cooldown/high aggro spells (assuming your DPS is all on the same mob) there are usually little to no problems. |
