2.4.3 Patch Notes - Reactions
Here is the link
The biggest change is, obviously, that mounts will now be available at level 30. Which will make leveling that much easier. As I said previously, it's something I expected Blizzard would never do, but it does rock, and I know there are some people who have been wanting this for a long time.
On to the rest of the patch, though. I'll be staying away from items that aren't general-purpose or related to tanking. Looking down the list, the first item would be:
Haris Pilton has launched a new line of bags and jewelry. Check her out in the World's End Tavern!
Is that wierd?

The rumor at WoW Insider is that she'll be selling a 22 slot bag for 1200g. My first reaction was "Well, better start saving now." And that should probably be yours as well.Numerous flying non-combat pets have had their flight height modified to no longer skim along the ground: captured firefly, dragonhawk hatchlings, moths, owls, parrots, phoenix hatchling, spirit of summer, sprite darter, and tiny sporebat.
I haven't previously mentioned it, but I am a big fan of non-combat pets. I think they're amazingly fun. When I picked up [item]Phoenix Hatchling[/item] on my first MgT run, I was thrilled. I also have a dragonhawk hatchling and a moth that will be affected by this. It will be awesome to have them fly along side me instead of skimming the ground like a moron. When a stun wears off, the creature that was stunned will prefer the last target with the highest threat, versus the current target.
If I understand this correctly, a stunned target, when the stun wears off, will target the mob/player that had the highest threat when the stun was applied. Considering the rage starvation that could take place when tanking a stunned target, if my interpretation is correct, this could be very helpful for tanking. Also, it means you can stun something you are currently tanking, go worry about another mob for a while, and then pick up where you left off. Concussion Blow might actually get some more use. They're nerfing Magister's Terrace
- The Stun component to the Sunblade Mage Guard Glaive Throw has been removed and the Bounce range reduced.
- Vexallus and Kael'thas are now tauntable in Heroic mode.
- Vexallus' damage caused by Pure Energy has been decreased.
- Fel Crystals in the Selin Fireheart encounter have had their health reduced slightly.
- Warlord Salaris and Kagani Nightstrike have had their damage output reduced slightly.
(some items removed)The new stopwatch feature can be accessed via the /stopwatch, /sw, or /timer slash commands. Inputting a time into the slash command will make the stopwatch count down. For example, /stopwatch 1:0:0 will make the stopwatch count down from an hour, /stopwatch 1:30 will make it count down from 1 minute, 30 seconds, and /stopwatch 30 will make it count down from 30 seconds.
The Glaive Throw change should be awesome. It means no more stunned healers, and thus less wipes.
Vex and Kael being tauntable... don't really care so much. I think I've had a problem keeping threat on Vex once, and it was never a problem with Kael. Oh well, it makes it easier on us. Though I do wonder if DPS are going to get more careless once they realize that we can taunt now.
Vexy doing less damage is good. There have been several times where I was either the only one left standing, or there was one other group member left with me.
Fel Crystals having less health... again, don't really care so much. Most of the groups I've been in have been of the mind that we should ignore the crystals and just burn down the boss. And it works great.
As for the last point, again... less damage is good for us. Especially in the Delrissa fight, where healers can get pasted pretty easily.
While I've completed Magister's Terrace several times on Heroic, I do know some people that haven't. I think these changes will make the content more accessible to them, and easier on us poor warrior tanks (who some people won't even take into MgT). All in all, as long as the changes aren't too extreme, I approve of the nerfing.
This is interesting. Depending on how the interface displays timers, and notifies you of expired timers, I can almost see myself ditching Quartz for a macro-based solution. We'll have to see.So, it looks like it should be an awesome patch. I have some mid-twenties alts that I might pick up again once the patch comes out, simply due to the fact that I'm no longer 15-ish levels away from a mount. And I'm honestly very excited about the /stopwatch feature...
Is that wierd?

| | Not weird I like the change to the 30 mount and the stopwatch feature you mentioned may have some very interesting - if not yet discovered - applications.Honestly, I think the introduction of that ridiculously pricey bag is the best item in the patch notes. Anything that can add to de-inflation of gold value is a good thing imho. Coming back into the game from a bit of a hiatus means that I might not be as jaded by patch changes as some... but I know that for some reason now I'm enjoying the game more than I ever have in the past ~2 years. Cheers. |

| | I hate the 22 Slot bag. Not because of the price 1200G are farmed easily but i hate that it's 22 slots. It's the same with 18 Slot Bags the 2 extra slots just look ugly to me. 20 or 24 ftw. |

| | People dont like warrior tanks in MGT? Personally i think warriors make the best tanks for it. Spell reflect, shield bash, Concussion blow all work wonders in there. And tanking with my pally thru there once was a pain on Vex (cant block magic based attacks and therefore no holyshield threat) and Kael (casting most of the time, not many melee attcks to block). The only thing liked about being a pally tank there was switching to heal mode on 3rd boss. On that boss i feel kinda lost with protdpspvp mode. But other then that tanking it as a warrior is a lot of fun. |

| | Paladins are actually somewhat preferred for it on my server because people like to aoe down trash. Kinda sick, really. >_> |

| | Yeah, that seems to be the consensus on my server (good ol' Zul'jin). People are always looking for pally tanks for MgT. |

| | Aside from the room of mana worms I find MGT so much easier to tank on my warrior than on my pally - and bear in mind my pally has much better gear and I've been tanking with him a lot longer. Spell Reflect in that instance is insanely good. On the arena fight my off-DPS is thoroughly acceptible, but my pally's off-healing is pretty poor (and off-dps even worse). |

| | I've only ever run MrT with a pally tank, when are you gonna change that? ![]() |
