Yep, we got to see him. And we got him to 12% on our third try. Our fourth try was worse than that, but we got to see him, and we got four solid attempts in on him. It was awesome - especially considering that nobody was really prepared for the fight. We had a good 10 minutes of discussion on strategy before our first attempt. At the end of the night, Garthin, one of our many pallies, and the trash tank for the night determined that he should probably bring his druid...

I've noticed something when people are talking or writing about WoW, and in particular their own characters. People tend to talk in the first person about their toons - I'm sure you've all noticed this. But what fascinates me is that they tend to set a point of reference at one character, speak in the first person when referring to that character, and then refer to other characters on their account in the third person.

For example, say I'm talking about my warrior. I will say things...

Last night I ran Heroic Ramps with a few guildies and a PuGger. The only CC was a hunter, and his traps had this nasty tendency to get resisted, so I said "screw it" and didn't use CC. Our healer was undergeared, our DPS was low (I out DPS'd two of them, according to my meters), and one of us had never been through the instance.

I don't think epic gems are worth it. 160-200g for an extra three stamina is ridiculous.

That said, I'm considering upgrading my [item]Solid Star of Elune[/item]s to [item]Solid Empyrean Sapphire[/item]s. Why? For no other reason than to pimp out my toon as much as possible. Having 12 non-meta gem slots to fill with SES's, that would gain me 37.8 stamina (I don't really know how that rounds). Which is approximately another 378 health. I could then upgrade my [item]Clefthide Leg Armor[/item]...

As much as I'm all about content, I like to look at what upgrades might come from an instance. It's a fun exercise in determining what exactly is an upgrade for me, and also taking a look at what set a particular piece of gear might fit into. Now, we're only 3/6 in ZA at the current time, though we have another run scheduled for next Thursday. Hopefully we'll get Dragonhawk down, and take our first look at Hex Lord Malacrass. I know I'll be bringing my A-game (as well as a bunch of consumables)...
