WoW and Boredom

I've been kind of bored with WoW lately. I wasn't leveling my shaman, and I wasn't doing anything with my warrior except for raiding once a week (at most... ZA didn't go off last week). I've even become bored with Brewfest already. Then two things happened.
First, I respecced my shaman. I went Resto, and started healing instances. So easy, and yet so fun. As long as the tank is the only one taking damage, all I have to do is throw the occasional Healing Wave and keep Earth Shield up. If others are taking damage, then Chain Heal helps out, as does Lesser Healing Wave and Healing Stream Totem. It might just be the fact that I'm doing regular instances again, and thus they're not a pain in the ass, but instancing has become fun again. I've run Ramparts a few times, and Blood Furnace at least twice. Got some Enhance gear as well as some Resto gear. Had some really good groups. It was great.
Second, a couple friends of mine thought it would be fun to start some level 19 twinks. I already have a twink rogue, but I decided to reroll warlock and try something different. We all have level 70 characters, so we'll be running each other through Deadmines, and probably Wailing Caverns, getting some gear. Once we get to 18 or so, and have gear and enchants, then we'll get together and pwn some nubs. Or something. We have a warrior, a priest, and a warlock. Should be a good time, I think.
And a bonus: I tanked regular mana tombs for a friend of mine who needed some quests. It was him (a pally), and four 70's. Three of us were in the same room, and it was a great time. I think I need to LAN party WoW more often.

| | Things are winding down with BC coming to a close and I think alot of people are getting bored. There is a lack of incentive to chase down gear and grinding dailys can be mind numbing. But that's cool, finding little ways to stay busy and have fun. |

| | Myabe this is the time to just farm consumables and stoff for the incoming release? I know that boring feeling. I get it sometimes while I am doing daylies with my main. But that's why I am leveling a healer. It's refreshing and fun. I just need to remember that I am not a tank anymore LOL Healing is fun, sure but it can get overwehelming too.... wait until you find incompetent dps that build too much threat or incompetent tanks that don't build enough... fun fun fun ![]() |

| | No worries... I've run with bad tanks and bad DPS. The mines in BF were a pain, let me tell you. As for farming consumables... that's what was getting me bored in the first place. I don't like farming. Doing dailies is one thing, but farming for drops is another. I guess it depends on what I'm doing at the time, though. If I'm waiting for a Mags PuG to fill up, then I'll farm some Arrakoa feathers for my shaman (need to get that Lower City Prayerbook at some point). I'm actually enjoying doing the research on gear for my twink, though. I'm even considering leveling fishing and trying for the rare fish rewards... just to be that badass. |

| | Once 3.0 comes out there will be the option to work on achievements, which is mostly what I'll be doing once that happens. |
