"How can you be a protection warrior at level one?" I hear you all asking. It's a matter of heart. Of drive. Of the mentality of a protection warrior.
Leveling from 1-70 while protection specced was a pain, but it allowed me to practice my tanking skills on the way to 70. I tanked everything from VC to Gnomer to BRD, on up through all of the Burning Crusade instances as I leveled through them. And now I find myself the warrior tank in my small guild of friends who is the best geared, and is one of the go-to guys when we do our ZA attempts.
Being prot at heart has its advantages.

The brewfest boss, Coren Direbrew, drops the equivalent of 41 badge trinkets. You might not want to pay 41 badges for [item]Gnomeregan Auto-Blocker 600[/item], but a couple kills for [item]Coren's Lucky Coin[/item] might be worth it. Or better yet, you can get [item]Empty Mug of Direbrew[/item] and save yourself having to buy [item]Bloodlust Brooch[/item].
Healing and spell damage trinkets also exist, if you want those:
[item]Direbrew Hops[/item]
[item]Dark Iron Smoking Pipe[/item]
I'm sure most of you already knew this, but in case anybody didn't...

I went into brd to try it with a pug last night...
never again.
I stopped pugging long ago (helps that my guild has like 150 people lol) I don't know why I even tried pugging again. We got him down eventually, mostly because I hit shield wall then switched to zerker and spammed execute for the last 2% after the rest of the grp died from letting the adds stack up lolPosted 09-23-2008 at 02:14 PM by Halandir

We're usually:
Warrior (me)
Resto Druid
Warlock
and 2 randoms.
Warlock spams SoC on Boss and Adds, Druid heals, I tank and the randoms DPS.
Going for the brewfest kodo by the way, so far no luck.Posted 09-23-2008 at 05:16 PM by Edgar
