Magtheridon Down

It took us three real tries. One of our PuGgers accidentally aggro'd before we were ready, so that was a fake try. The first real try, we got him down to 2% and I got crushed for 7.6k. It sucks, but it happens, I guess. I was spamming Shield Block as hard as I could, but I guess he slipped one through.
The second try, I picked up Mag when he released, and got no active healing. I had Earth Shield up, as well as a stack of Lifebloom, but that wasn't enough to take the 9k cleave.
The third try was frickin' sweet. I picked up Mag, and dragged him to the back wall of the room. Unfortunately, one of the PuG priests was standing in the way and got cleaved, but I figure that was his fault. From there on out, it was smooth sailing. I popped Shield Wall at around 31%, so the cave in didn't affect me much. There were a couple of times when I got low on health, but I managed to keep Shield Block up enough to not have any noticeable crushes. The WWS report isn't up yet, so I don't know for sure, but I didn't see any crushes in the combat log. Hooray for me.
Here's the loot:
There was some drama with the PuGgers over the way we distributed loot, particularly the [item]Chestguard of the Fallen Champion[/item]. The raid leader called for rolls, saying the top two rolls would get one. The PuGgers didn't seem to like that system, and said so. In fact, they said it sucked. Of course, half our guild defended it, and there wasn't much they could do anyway.
So, there's an update... it's been a while since I've done one.

| | Well done! Sounds like a lot more fun than cube duty. I'm envious. I'd love to get another Mag kill in before 3.0.2 hits (Mag is all I need for the Champion of the Naaru title), but I just don't see it happening. And your loot system was perfectly fair. |

| | I forgot to mention that this was a guild first. There wasn't nearly as much preparation as there was for our first Gruul run, but difficulty of the fight proved to be proportional to our preparation for it. |
