Update, and ZA This Week!
Well, I haven't posted in a while, mostly due to not really tanking anything. My guild's still talking about getting back into Gruul's, and doing Mag's. We're trying to get dates together and such. We might be doing Gruul again on the 18th (seems to be a good date for most people), while Mag, I think will be in September sometime (maybe the 21st).
In more up-and-coming news, we're doing ZA this week! I'm definitely voting for more attempts at Dragonhawk. I think we can take him this time, with confidence boosted from our Gruul run, as well as some discussion on the message boards regarding strategy.

I think our strategy will be something along the lines of
- Tank him in the middle - This allows for a full 360 degrees for DPS and healers to spread out and hopefully avoid chaining the flame breath.
- Take about half of one side of the hatchlings each time the hatches spawn
- Bring his HPs to zero

 |  what type of O.T. are u using? make sure its a drood or a paly cuz 2 warriors equal fail  half the side is a pretty good way to do it if your dragonhawk tank isnt extremely well geared. couple things to remember- make sure people dont cross eachothers paths when he is using his dragons breath that will cause people to take more damage than needed its a single target ability. also make sure to kill one hatcher immidiately and let the other hatch half but make sure to kill him quickly or else its a guaranteed wipe. stress to your raid members to not die to bombs its super easy to avoid you just have to pay attention. also dont dps him past 35% or else he will hatch the rest of the eggs( not sure if the % is correct havent done ZA in 3 months due to being deployed in the gulf). also make sure your healer primarily focus on you and the O.T. during soft enrage, your other party members shouldnt be taking much damage anyways. good luck  hope u get the bulwark!!!! it took me like 8 or nine full clears to get mine lol!!! and freakin Zuljin never dropped my trinket but i got all the other tanking gear  |

| | Yeah, if you don't have a prot pally to tank the adds, clearing one whole side at a time is risky business. Druids and Warriors simply can't hold threat on 20 adds. We usually do sets of 10 when we don't have our pally with us, and that seems to be the intended pace, as the last add group goes down just as Jan'alai hits his soft enrage. |

| | We're going in today with a Pally OT. I'm going to tank him slight off center. I'll put melee on the bone piles and tank him by them facing the center. Why? So that the teleport is obvious. As easy as it is, I've found that calling out "Watch for bombs!" is an important cue for people to know that we're in that phase of the fight. |

| | I've tanked this boss once, succeeding on the 3rd pull. In pulls 1 and 2 I was off tanking the spawns, without much effect (I'm a warrior). On pull 3 the MT went away, I took the boss, and I think they simply brought another mage or warlock, or maybe a healer for them, and just nuked the dragonhawks. I didnt find the boss himself at all challenging. |
