Gyth is a Wuss

... and so is Rend.

Last night, I did about half of UBRS, trying to help Zigystardust get some more Tier 0 (Dungeon 1) stuff. We had Khia, a 62 Shadow Priest along with us for some DPS (Zigy being specced resto at this point). I was really excited about tanking some dragons, even if they were terribly under level.

I have really fond memories of running UBRS over and over (all PuGs) with my Warlock, to get his [item]Dreadmist Robe[/item]. Gyth seemed really impressive back then, and I don't know if he's gotten smaller over time, or what, but after that whole event with Nefarian yelling at you, and waves of trash... Gyth was just a letdown. He's a tiny little dragon. Barely a dragon at all, really.

Now, the reason I didn't finish UBRS is actually kind of embarrassing. We were just starting to pull the room before the Beast, and I got disconnected. But not the normal kind of disconnected...

My account lapsed.

Yes, that's right, my account is currently inactive. I recently got a new debit card, cancelling the last one (which was the one that WoW was tied to). Now, this normally wouldn't be a huge deal, but I haven't gotten a paycheck that my employer said she sent out, and I should have gotten by the 24th. So, I don't have the funds to put WoW on my new card.

Lame.

I think the biggest thing is, Gyth used to seem bigger when we did him. UBRS had that epic feel back in the day, we were all noobs. Now, after killing so many huge dragons, hell even Netherspite and Nightbane are huge compared to him. Gyth used to be a "Normal" size dragon which was big for the 1.0 timespan. Where compared to Ony, who was Huge. Now she's just standard size as well!

We've just gotten bigger in our heads I think!

Have you ever noticed that mobs get bigger as we get more levels? If you look at it, the humans we were fighting at level 3 are much smaller than the humans we fight at level 70. It's really interesting, and a very subtle but important feature of the game.

It's all these little things that Blizzard put into the game that makes it so good.
