Guildless can be fun.

Since I recently decided to drop my guild I have had free time waiting for my apps to go through. I want to be online so if ##### guild wants to talk I will be available.
So what to do? Don't really feel like pugging any raids since my interview will most likely pull me into a raid. I would hate for my big chance to come and not be able to go.
Start a new toon? Nah. I am not one of those people that roles a ton of toons. I have 2 lvl 80s but only play one. Thats why I chaose a druid. Tank, DPS I can do it.
So why is there a lvl8 lock on my account? OH SH*T I'VE BEEN HACKED!!!!. Quick check my main. Gear good. Money good. Quick Batman to the ALT! Gear good. Money good. OK lets check this lock. OMFG the addons are all turned on and all over the screen. I can't see a thing. Hmmmmm the name of the lock is in Korean. Handy dandy Korean - English dictionary tells me it means Little Demon(fitting for a gnome lock). It isnt twinked out. It has gear like you would excpect at that lvl. A wopping 27 silver. WTF. If your going to hack me have it make since. Who has access to my account? My son played on my account before he passed but never a lock. I also think I would have noticed before now. My wife knows my passwords.............My wife?!?!?!?!?
So i have spent the last couple of days setting up a new account and fixing all the addons for my wife on her PC. My wife hated me playing WoW. But she decided to give it a try and loves her little lock. Didn't want to waste money transfering a toon so low lvl so she made a new one. New ones name is Korean for Demon Caller. Why all the Korean? My wife was a translator for the U.S. Army. She intercepted North Korean coms and translated it.
So in my "downtime" from not being in a guild I have spent it helping her lvl. Teaching her the basics of the game. How a rotation works. I have not been killing for her just throwing the occasional heal. This is something I never thought would happen. It has been very nice to spend time with her in game just talking about everything. I also managed to get the explorer achievment done lol.
This has been a nice bonding experience for us and she is really into it for now. She has a million questions and thank god she listens and learns fast.
So I'm guildless and not raiding right now which can be hard for a raider like me. But I'm loving life and having fun all the same. Guildless can be fun. Thank god for my wife.
Love you babe.

My girl plays to - and while it doesn't even come close to my instancing/raiding 3-5 nights a week she understands a little. It makes a world of difference, next to that we can do the seasonal things together and have a laugh, it's all good. Well as long as you know when to turn the computers of that is.Posted 06-23-2009 at 11:59 PM by Aethelas
