This week's raiding had all the ups and downs and down right frustrations of raiding. Thursday night was one of those nights when despite nuking FL, XT, Kolog, Auri, Hodir and IC it wasn't smooth at all, with people doing stupid things, people dieing and general chaos. Added to that me and my hubby had our first internet connection problems on Thorim, I would have hated to be on vent when they realised their hallway tank and healer had both dc'ed After 20minutes of frustration with a hiccupping internet our RL decided to head to IC instead to finish off the night with me and hubby being relegated to minor dps roles for safety - needless to say we stayed connected throughout the fight!

On Sunday night Freya, Thorim and Mimi were on the menu and it started badly with DPS being blind (or stupid) and not changing targets on Freya's adds. Our MT exploded in Vent and the next try was our cleanest kill to date! Next up was Thorim and after a couple of false starts he died nice and smoothly. The tunnel group of which I was tanking went really well and the tank rotation in P2 was also much improved and we got our second kill of him.

Mimi is now my favourite fight, even though it took us some tries to get our second kill, I love the fight the movement required. I'm normally spell reflect tank and eating bombbots To finish the night we went and nuked Razorscale who kindly dropped me his gun!

Last night it was General, a fight about half the raiders had never seen and although it's a lot less chaotic than Mimi I was expecting at least some wipes. Our main problem was interupts and while those who have never done this job may say "how hard can it be", a couple of things make it harder than it appears. We had two rogues as main interupts with 2 DKs and me (and whoever else fancied it) as backup. It's a long fight to maintain concentration on interupts but on the last pull of the night everything fell into place and despite losing a couple of dps he fell! For giggles we went and said a very quick "hello" to Yoggi.

The most irritating part of the night was the instance server meltdown that forced us to have a an extra 15minute break, followed by having to reclear trash - with a couple of res-sickness characters - the entire of Ulduar was teleported to Dalaran when logging back in with the resulting problems of Dalaran meaning some of us fell through the world dieing and unable to res without talking to a spirit healer. Plus the painfulness of a 120g repair bill over and above the normal raidnight wipe bill.

But ... I wouldn't say 12 wipes and 1 kill was bad for our first kill of General. Grats to dwarfie for his usual superb tanking and the interupt team for their focus!

General is one of those fights... it took us whole nights of wiping to get him down the first and second times... this week we one-shot him. Ugh!

    Good luck with YS soon!
