Two days ago it was the flood of pally tears that greeted me on the WoW sites I normally visit and today it is tank tears in general. While I am eternally grateful for anyone who takes the time to do the maths, time to explore PTRs and post sensible concerns and suggestions I am always dumbfounded by comments like "this is the end of warrior tanking" and "no reason to bring anything apart from a druid after this".

In the past week or so two events, and some niggling doubts, have lead me to question my threat-output, the first was having a guildie say on Ony25 (when I lost agro while pulling Ony backwards at the pull) "I never have a problem on my DK" - as he pulled agro off me, causing Ony to turn and flame breath the raid and the second was a DK off tank (normally dps) pulling off me on Beasts 10 (normal). I can't explain how much the first comment affected me, I was simultaneously upset and angry;...

I've followed with interest, some degree of irritation and some of understanding the exponential use of gearscores for finding members of PUG raids. My irritation is reasonably low as for as long as I can remember tanks have required minimum stats (or more accurately - hitpoints) to get into PUGs and I see gearscore as merely an extension to that. Also as I only have one character at level 80, linking achievements and having a decent gearscore is fairly easy.

as far as my individual performance goes, but still a superb night for the guild with Yogg+3 (and a shiny hammer) and hardmode 25man beasts killed!

So, this week we had one single aim and that was to get one of our pallies their legendary, we nuked through VoA, Colliseum and Ony on Thursday (although it was messy at times) and on Sunday we spent a frustrating 2 hours wiping to hardmode Vezaxx - generally reaching P2 and then dieing, before killing him normally and ending the night...

Today is one year since Shorty and his pally sidekick landed with a bump in Silvermoon's version of Ironforge. It would not be an understatement to say that it was with more trepidation, than when Shorty had first visited IF as a very very small gnome who still walked into walls, that we took our first baby steps inbetween what seemed like hundreds of Amani War Bears and scores of warglaive-wielding characters.
