Long weekend

Happy Easter all,
So a four day weekend that included some of the lowest moments in my WoW-life, some good moments and lots of packing boxes.
It started on thursday with my raid leader, at my request, demoting my characters from officer status. To say that I was heartbroken would have been an understatement. I signed our guild charter over a year ago and have given my all to my role as warrior CL.
After that I threw myself into PVP with Terra (my warlock) and am slowly getting used to her new sl/sl build. She's definitely more surviveable, particularly noticeable against melee, though still horribly squishy when it comes to hunters
I did tank a couple of heroic runs and also took Dyna (mage) to a full Kara clear - she got Prince's dagger and is now +1k fire damage unbuffed.
Myself and my husband also duo'ed (twice) LBRS to get our UBRS key - we both reached 60 not long before TBC, so it was quite fun to see an instance we never really saw.
Today we did our weekly arena matches. Brief history: It was our third week of arena ever. After a 10-0 start with lock and rogue, we swopped to lock and retri pally last week and saw an immediate improvement (won 4/10). This week with a couple of new pieces of gear between the two of us and my shiny new sl/sl build we won 8, putting us back over 1400 rating. Not exactly worthy of headline news, but we were very happy.
Tonight our guild downed Karathress for the first time, it was the first progression (25man) I've ever missed and the first progression (including 10man) that I've missed since Maiden - when I was OT and sat out for an extra dps. I am incredibly proud of them, especially given the trouble we've been through over the last few weeks but also incredibly sad that I wasn't there.
I know that the decision regarding my officership was the right one. But I'm missing the insane banter in /o more than I ever thought I would. I'm also missing the challenge of tanking, due to computer problems (which should be solved in a few weeks) I am unable to tank/raid 25mans, I'm not missing the nonsense that goes on in raids, but I am missing the sense of being part of a team.
This week promises more heartache, no doubt complicated and magnified by RL stress, atm all I want is to get through the next few weeks and at the end of them be able to re-assess my WoW-playing knowing how much I can play (given the new commute and working stress) and how much (and what) I want to do.
As the eternal optimist I am, I'll end on a positive note and link a picture of Shorty, taken with last stand activated - isn't he cute?

| | Hehe thats one very scary picture ![]() Good to see your liking PvP aspect as I couldnt stand it. Zerged on Xavi and found continous AV boring after a few games each day. On Kyze died every second of the BG and tried out Arena, dont even go there, 1 shotted practically every time but that is down to be being a lazy ass and not bothering to collect the S1 Gear. But with 2.4 out now might go for the Rep PvP gear and give it another shot. Also was great for guild to get down Karathress and back on progression trail. When I heard news was happy for guys but at the same time hitting myself for missing it. First progression kill i've missed in all 25man content.. was pretty sad ![]() But soon to be back, 8th April (: But anyway hope you enjoy getting your S3 with Terra and wish you and Ross luck in upcoming weeks with settling down .
