Last Friday I led a 10 man Naxx that failed utterly. I take the blame for not preparing my group properly at all and knowing damn well how the content is built, it was embarassing.

What a difference a week makes. We pugged half of our 25 man group last night and took down 5 bosses. Not spectacular but we got hung up on a few specific things and destroyed everything else. We tried Patches first and he ate our lunch. I soaked hatefuls and they were hitting me for 23.5K average against...

Since I hit 80 about 2 weeks ago I have not set foot in any instance. Neither normal, nor heroic, nor a raid.

That is because of a series of problems.

Grouping for heroics
I don't have guildmates to run with, so I have to pug.
There's a healer shortage on my realm, so it takes up to an hour to get a group going. I lose motivation in that time, I log out.

Raiding on a set schedule
Even if I was able to run heroics, I don't like raiding....

So I have been leveling up to 80, should be there tonight and though I have done a few instances, I don't do a lot. The reason behind this is part fear. Fear that I will do a horrible job at it and be laughed off the damn server. I am sure I will get over this in time, but I know I cannot learn without doing.

I am working on getting most of the things from the pre-Naxx gearing guide on the WoW forums. Hopefully I can get my Defense where it should be along with my avoidance and get...

I have said this on my Hunter many times. I say it at the outset of going on a farming run. The professions my Hunter has, as well as the pet mechanic, make him a very self-sufficient character. I prefer self-sufficient characters and profession choices over the money-maker professions choices. In a given field of beasts I get 4 things-
