Setting the stage

Here's my working theory.

All of existence is continuous, always moving, and everything is connected. There are no true barriers, at most there are influences that inhibit or redirect the flow, but in truth these are like a stone blocking the ocean.

In this continuum things simply are. We, as thinking creatures within this existence, distinguish and contrast things as a way to allow our brain to record and learn. Without contrast, without filters, it is extreme over-immersion...

How to PuG:

Posted 10-26-2009 at 10:26 AM by Conreeaght (A Fool's Dissertation)

Let me preface to say this is a satire. If you actually believe this, or do not know what satire means, don't comment. I may not delete it to save you face while everyone laughs at you.

----------------------

Everybody knows PuGging is the fastest way to become popular in WoW. I mean, raiding guilds get famous based on the guild name, but who's the best? There's 25 them that need to work together. But you're better then everyone else, and you're the best, so let's climb...

Pugging raids

Posted 10-26-2009 at 02:35 AM by Shortypop

I've followed with interest, some degree of irritation and some of understanding the exponential use of gearscores for finding members of PUG raids. My irritation is reasonably low as for as long as I can remember tanks have required minimum stats (or more accurately - hitpoints) to get into PUGs and I see gearscore as merely an extension to that. Also as I only have one character at level 80, linking achievements and having a decent gearscore is fairly easy.

This weekend, with VoA...

C... C... Communication

Posted 10-23-2009 at 02:32 AM by Aethelas

So in the start of this week I've had a little discussion with my healers. I set out with a couple of questions about how my gear choices for certain encounters really fit in with their heal tossing. Interestingly enough the general concensus was that apart from equiping a high stamina set for hardmode Northrend Beasts there's actually nothing else they notice. Quite frankly - they say that the more stamina/armor you get the better… Fill that up with some more 'we couldn't care less about avoidance'...

Why can't 10-man players craft gear too?

@veneretio I bet the blacksmithing stuff will make me grump again. No one tosses any crafting bones to 10-man raiders. :/
That's what 10-man raider, Kadomi had to say in regards to my excitement regarding the new, awesome crafted gear I noticed will be dropping in Icecrown.

She's got a point.

Why shouldn't patterns drop in 10s?

Now my immediate response to this used to be that it didn't make sense for 10 man raiders to have all ilvl 232...
