As promised several weeks ago here's my little rant/summary of my adventures with setting up Grid.

For many months I've been a dedicated Pitbull user and was only convinced to change to Grid in Colliseum where not being able to see all boss debuffs on players was starting to irritate me (think Beasts, where we 3 tank on heroic mode and I could focus on the tank before me in the rotation to watch stacks but was blind to the third tank's stacks). So one Friday night several weeks ago...

First: I have a 310% drake yay! After months of being stuck with firefighter as my last achievement left for GotUR (10) and having the quest for mimirons sigil in my quest log I finally managed to get a guild group together (i refuse to pay 20k gold for the last achievement). 2 other people also got the achievement too.

Second: The god damned stamina trinket from Faction Champs 25 STILL HASNT DROPPED! Ah well, in 3.3 there will be a trinket for badges with 220ish stamina...

Yes, I know it's the song from the L4D2 commercial by the band called "Clutch" and yes I'm on the bandwagon versus in front of it for this one. I apologize. Game is tight, well done, and a better party game then opening up my router for a local WoW host, since all my RL buddies play in diff guilds and we don't talk about wow when we get together. Rather we go 'anti-wow' and party, with the most intense games being cracked open include rockband and...yes...now getting 4 survivors across...

Yesterday was one of those nights I'll remember for a little while. In effect we spent a full night wiping on hard mode Northrend Beasts. I haven't been able to raid all that much over the course of the last two weeks due to being struck down with a monster flu, followed by my girl finally (!) being with me in the Netherlands again for just the weekend. The community has spent quite a bit of time on learning the encounter and getting adjusted to the shift of paradigm it takes to put some captured...

One of the fights I considered to be a Level 3 tanking fight was Leothras the Blind in Serpentshrine Caverns back in BC. This encounter was difficult from the tanking perspective for various reasons.

To those unfamiliar with the fight, it starts with a 3 add trash pull (the adds could hit surprisingly hard) which following their deaths Leothras became active.
Leothras is a three phase fight. He starts out in humanoid form where he does a whirlwind which drops a strong bleed...
