Black Temple, pretty cool

Went to BT last week, pretty cool place. Many of the posts I read talked about how difficult the trash was, but with one exception (the pull AFTER Naj'entus, we sort of underestimated it, have your Pally put on his Nature set), the trash was a yawn (where your Nature gear on the Aqua Lords, tank gear for everything else, bring 4 tanks, we had 2 ferals plus prot war/pally). Naj'entus himself took five tries (one was an enrage) which wasn't spectacular, but seems to be about par for the course for us on the "easy" bosses. And I noticed he actually hits. Had one goofy issue with him - he must have a huge hit box as I had trouble getting TC up on him. Something I must watch for a few weeks from now when we return.
Sunday was our "Let's do Lady Vashj" night. Three and a half hours, 12 tries. We once got 3 cores dunked, but it's a fight where folks obviously need lots of practice. Too many tainteds despawning, too many elementals getting through, too much trouble with the striders. By the end of the night the strider team was crowing about their kiting, so we may have solved one issue. The best thing about it though is the raid left very upbeat =). People know it's hard, but attitudes stayed positive. We'll see in two weeks when it's all SSC week =).
PS. Dunking is very frustrating. "What do you mean it despawned?"

 | Keep it up man. We are just like you guys. Only thing different is we kept our grind on Vashj. We did spend one or two fun nights in Hyjal when we didn't have our A team for Vashj. (lol at rage) It took about 4 full "real" raids nights to down her 5 realistically. We made no progress on her unless our one ele shaman was the kiter. the night we downed her we had Ele shaman 2x shadow priests and a hunter dedicated to the striders (when threat was an issue they killed ele's/nagas) they also cleaned up ele's along with melee when the tainted spawns and a certain group was busy with those. Its going to come together for you soon and nothing feels better then downing that @#)#@#$@@$)$#@#))%@! edit: I think we would have killed her a week sooner but we forgot to tell the new hunters to kill the spore bats it makes a big difference IMO. |
