Annoying people

So I'm sitting in Dalaran today minding my own business and cleaning up my messy bank. Suddenly I get a whisper from a guy next to me who asks about my talent spec.
"Why do you have points in demo shout?" He asks.
"It's a survival build. AP makes up roughly 15% of a mobs melee damage. I take less damage with this spec."
"It's bad. You'd do better to put points into crit or Iron Will." Said the warrior tank who was using the spec I dreamed up not even 3 days after 3.0 patched.
"Enlighten me. How will increasing my crit augment my survival build and which bosses are famous for their dangerous stuns I should be putting points into Iron Will to avoid?" I was getting annoyed.
"Lol" Spake the epeening warrior "I've never heard of anyone using that spec. Crit will improve your threat."
"It's supported by much of the tanking community." I had just recently noticed that he had better gear than me, but all of it was clearly newly acquired badge gear and expensive BoE epics from Ulduar.
I would have loved to flash out my fancy 15-3-53 build, but I just recently switched it to Fury to finally try out Titan's Grip (which is nifty at best).
At the end of the day, looking at his achievements I can see that he's recently leveled to 80 compared to my 3 years of time on my warrior (much of which is raiding), and the only boss he's completed in Ulduar is Flame Leviathan. So for all his preening and posturing he's really just an annoying dick who just wants to make everyone believe he shits gold. That's what I've taken from this discussion.
*The discussion was not taken word for word, but it is fairly accurate.*
He later went on to discuss how warlocks have a similar debuff and that any raid would have one in it (except mine doesn't). He also forgot to count in that a warlock having to use curse of weakness nerfs any lock who uses curse of agony, and that it doesn't apply well to AoE situations. My favorite quote of the day was after I mentioned it was a survival spec he said "Find better healers IMO".
Sorry for the rant. It just pisses me off that I meet people like this so often. Oh well, I suppose it doesn't really matter. Hell, maybe he's right. I don't know. What do YOU think?

They're out there. I've had my fair share of conversations with people that just don't get it... Frustrating but eventually it does become hilariousPosted 08-18-2009 at 01:25 AM by Aethelas

Gotta love those people. They go pretty nicely on my ignore list.Posted 08-18-2009 at 09:39 AM by Prexie

I enjoy talking to those people. I can usually make them look so dumb that they ignore me before I ignore them. It's like a game. Then they start to spam me with insults and I ignore them.Posted 08-18-2009 at 10:38 AM by Ferag
