The Tank Game
Tanking has improved significantly. I feel like my job as a warrior has become significantly easier with the release of 3.0 and Wotlk over the tanking in Burning Crusade and Vanilla WoW.

I still feel that paladins are getting some things way to easily when it comes to tanking. I had played both tanks at 70 during 3.0, but have only played a warrior at 80, so I can't claim to be fully informed. Despite this though, I just feel like the threat game is still tipped in a paladins favor as well as is personal dps on a boss fight.

I think all tanks need to be comparable in not only mitigation, but threat and dps in order for me to feel like a player is being brought because of skill and not just cause everyone can go hog wild on threat or aoe. People say "well earn your spot" or get to "be a better tank", but we simply can not expect all players to care how good you are if they can spam their AoE and get a bronze drake for it.

I don't want warriors to get consecrate, but I think paladins ability to generate as much aoe threat as they do needs toned down, it needs to at least require a little bit of work if trash tanking is to be anything but trivial for them.
I don't want to be a paladin, I love my warrior and will stick with him.

Discipline
Now that wrath has been out for a while I've been watching healing performance across a wide variety of skill level of players and just wanted to toss out an opinion about discipline priests.

Discipline has been working wonders in 5 mans for me and my fellow tanks, they have
great mana consistency and their shields help a lot. In raids, however, its starting to be seen that as my resto sham friend noted "disc just makes the other healers work harder".

It might be a problem with alot of priests not having enough crit to be keeping up divine aegis, but their mitigation of damage seems to not be making up for their lose to healing, especially with most raids involving large amounts of AoE where I'd personally prefer seeing CoH come out for its last remaining hay days.

Frankly, when I see a disc priest show up to a 25 man, I feel like they came in their pvp spec, and just arent contributing as much as they could be.

Encounters + Tank Counts
This is what has upset me the most about Wotlk. I have become a tertiary tank forced to build an arms set due to the lack of need for a third tank is most content, and the ease of bear or DK to take up the roll if needed.

Honeslty I'm looking forward to dual spec so that I can roll in my arms gear and toss a shield when needed since neither of the other tanks seem willing to even consider relinqushing their roles. We all love tanking, but I seem to be the only one that feels he can contribute in other ways.

Personal Raid Issues
This part is essentially a rant about an offnight raid we used to finish up Kel'Thuzad before resets because we ran out of time on our established raid night. Feel free to entirely ignore it, as it is mainly out of aggrivation.

I hate when people ask me to pass gear, particularly when they point out how they already have better gear than me. The paladin tank in guild asked me to pass the Wall of Terror to him in order to reach avoidance cap with holy shield active. He then pointed out how hes passed other gear to me and even offered me gold for the item. It was a none raid night so it was free rolls on the item.

He had passed two items to me that were significant upgrades for me and minor for him. I, however, had done the same for two other items and felt that I didn't have a responsibility to help him gear even further than me and edge me even more out of a tanking position with the guild. Most the guildies like me, but they still are going to take the guy with more gear, and I've been screwed on rolls in 10 mans.

Lastly, nothing annoys me more, than when someone says that gear is what makes them a good tank.
