Everyone these days walks around in epics.

Epics used to be something to strive for and if you had a full set others would look up to you. And you would look up to them if you didn't have them.
I think that was a good thing.

This is gone and I also think it's good to get it back a bit.

That's why I'd like to see a new category of items. A category that's between epic and legendary. Seeing a lot of colors are used I guess brown or black border would be about right. (I prefer red border, but then you couldn't see if the item is broken or not.)

And, just like an epic item has a higher itembudget then a rare item with the same itemlevel, you could give those "fabled" items the same itemlevel as their epic counterparts, just with a higher itembudget.

Yes, I want to call them fabled items.

(As an example: ToC 25 would drop the "normal" epics and its heroic counterpart would drop the "fabled" items.)

In the end I think it's a good thing to set apart the top tier raiders from the normal tier raiders. There's awe and it's good for a game if there are "hard to impossible" to get things on the horizon.

I think this is big news.

I don't know if there are any official blue posts but we discovered another difficulty level on our server.

Probably because Normal was cake and Heroic difficulty is what normal should have been our server now has the next generation of difficulty:

*LAG* difficulty.

This can make encounters near impossible to complete, so only the best of the elitist hardcore imba guilds will finish them.

Also it scales extremely well: if progress is too fast, content beaten in a whim, just increase *LAG* and you'll see it going slower or even to a halt. And to make it even more fun, you can make it totally unpredictable when players encounter *LAG* or not.

So if you want to enjoy the live test: visit Sylvanas-EU and you'll be the first to learn of the newest of the newest technology.

I don't like waiting. Standing around.
I really don't like waiting if I don't know long it will take.
I really don't like it.
So when I rolled into raidleading in my guild we had some whipes because too many weren't ready. Out of range of healers, other tanks not being ready.

There's a saying: "you can't change a person so you got to adapt". My raid is convinced I won't change so they adapted.
Everyone is ready now, if a pack is dead, everyone is ready for the next. Which has already been marked. If loot is being distributed, the ones not rolling on it are already clearing the next trash. New people like the speed. Everyone is performing above expectations and we're clearing at an incredible rate.

I hope I'm not pushing it too much though, but if I ask for a ready and get a reply like: "1 sec please" or "2 secs" I say on vent "1" and start it or, "1,2" charge.

Last week we had some trouble on Thaddius, this week everyone was ready. He went down first attempt. One wing, a wing we cleared last week is all that seperates us from Sapphiron.
Three bosses. WotLK has 3 bosses left and then were done.

Did I push too fast? Nah I like fast. Fast is good.
We're going to need it in 3.1. Hope it comes...............fast.

Now where does it come from?
The urge to logon and check what's going on in wow when you're not even plan on playing. I get home check my email, check my auction ask what's going on in guild and I'm gone again for team handball training. Why did I fire up WoW?
I dunnow.
This friday I had a party, there was some alcohol involved and I manage to get home at 2 am. Now why don't I just dive into my bed but start WoW to have a quick peek?
Why did I have to come into the middle of tries on Malygos? Why did it have to be my brother tanking him?
When I logged on and joined ventrilo they were in the middle of their 3rd try. They wiped. We had our first tries on Malygos earlier in the week and wiped probably over 10 times. So I had been reading all there is about him and watched videos. So I knew quite some points where improvements were possible.
The fun thing was with my brother tanking that when he asked for advice on tanking the dragon, I could explain it to him, without interruption, because the rest of the raid doesn't speak Dutch. :)
The funny thing is, they got him on 4th try.
Our guild now cleared all 10 men content.
While I was a bit sad that it wasn't me killing maly, I am very happy that our guild has him down.

On another note, we managed to progress in Naxxramas heroic up to Thaddius. Thaddius was our menace the week and even though we had him on the menu three weeks in a row we couldn't get him down. You just really need everyone alive on him.
For the rest, we killed everything we can. It wasn't until someone mentioned: we're 4 bosses away from downing all Heroic content that it truck me that as a guild we're doing pretty well. We got three raiddays, 7-11 and don't go over the timer often.
I hope Blizzard fixes the lag in the instances though, because wednesday and thursday it was the biggest killer. But hey, maybe next year all will be fine.

When Burning Crusade hit my highest character was my shaman, lvl 57. I leveled him to 70 and quickly got into raiding. I raided and killed all the way up to Illidan who we killed 2 weeks before Sunwell was introduced.
Sadly but inevitably my guild split and I didn't get to do SWP.

On the bright side, this gave me a lot of time to play on my warrior. My warrior was my alt. I had done everything I could on my shaman and outside raiding there was nothing but 1 thing: tanking. I experienced melee dps, ranged dps and especially healing on my shaman, but he just couldn't tank.
That's why I rolled my warrior. For the sole reason of tanking.

When I stopped raiding my warrior had just hit 70 and I tanked everything I could and got quite the hang of it. I was maintanking Kara fast did an insane number of heroics and the second time maintanking Zul'Aman we cleared the place. The real thrill was when I got to tank Magtheridon, as I've always been a stamina stacker my hp was pretty high. There were people with a lot better gear but lower HP and people who don't know just judge the tank on their hp. So that way I got PuGged into a raid of another guild on Magtheridon and that was the real blast. When we killed him I knew I wasn't going back to healing, tanking is the thing.

Now my shaman is still 70 my cow is 80 I'm raidleader and we started 25 men this week. Wednesday wasn't so good, we killed only 1 boss and had to give up after that, not because we couldn't but because of unplayable lag in 25 mens.
Thirsday we managed to clear the spider and the plague wing. Too bad we had problems on razuvious with the pull.

Today we're going in for the third time and Patchwerk will be the first on the menu. He scares me. But I'm sure we'll do well. Left and right I hear people like my raidleading. Well, I'm not even the raidleader. But the assistant raidleader. Having said that, the nab has a broken mic so I'm leading whether he wants it or not. And I think I will be for some time. It helps in a way though. I'm the positive dude and when negativity is needed, our beloved Jabbaa is very good at that. I'm not that good bringing negative things.

It was very important for our guild that we cleared 2 wings in Nax 25. And Sartharion and the Vault Boss. A lot of epics were gained and every member now knows what our guild is about_: 25 men raiding and we're gona be successfull at it. And if you want those shiny purple pieces, sticking with us is a recipe for more. Even with only 3 raiddays.

We got some good and skillfull members who are also great people. We're not a hardcore guild, but we're gona make the most of the little time we have.

Orcstar/Meneerkoe over and out.
