I r tank.
When Burning Crusade hit my highest character was my shaman, lvl 57. I leveled him to 70 and quickly got into raiding. I raided and killed all the way up to Illidan who we killed 2 weeks before Sunwell was introduced.
Sadly but inevitably my guild split and I didn't get to do SWP.
On the bright side, this gave me a lot of time to play on my warrior. My warrior was my alt. I had done everything I could on my shaman and outside raiding there was nothing but 1 thing: tanking. I experienced melee dps, ranged dps and especially healing on my shaman, but he just couldn't tank.
That's why I rolled my warrior. For the sole reason of tanking.
When I stopped raiding my warrior had just hit 70 and I tanked everything I could and got quite the hang of it. I was maintanking Kara fast did an insane number of heroics and the second time maintanking Zul'Aman we cleared the place. The real thrill was when I got to tank Magtheridon, as I've always been a stamina stacker my hp was pretty high. There were people with a lot better gear but lower HP and people who don't know just judge the tank on their hp. So that way I got PuGged into a raid of another guild on Magtheridon and that was the real blast. When we killed him I knew I wasn't going back to healing, tanking is the thing.
Now my shaman is still 70 my cow is 80 I'm raidleader and we started 25 men this week. Wednesday wasn't so good, we killed only 1 boss and had to give up after that, not because we couldn't but because of unplayable lag in 25 mens.
Thirsday we managed to clear the spider and the plague wing. Too bad we had problems on razuvious with the pull.
Today we're going in for the third time and Patchwerk will be the first on the menu. He scares me. But I'm sure we'll do well. Left and right I hear people like my raidleading. Well, I'm not even the raidleader. But the assistant raidleader. Having said that, the nab has a broken mic so I'm leading whether he wants it or not. And I think I will be for some time. It helps in a way though. I'm the positive dude and when negativity is needed, our beloved Jabbaa is very good at that. I'm not that good bringing negative things.
It was very important for our guild that we cleared 2 wings in Nax 25. And Sartharion and the Vault Boss. A lot of epics were gained and every member now knows what our guild is about: 25 men raiding and we're gona be successfull at it. And if you want those shiny purple pieces, sticking with us is a recipe for more. Even with only 3 raiddays.
We got some good and skillfull members who are also great people. We're not a hardcore guild, but we're gona make the most of the little time we have.
Orcstar/Meneerkoe over and out.

I'm glad I've read this, I'm happy to see a new warrior join the group, sadly you're a cow.
When I started playing WoW, they said "we need a tank"... and I was "ooookay, I will do it". At first I thought "Ugh, this is going to suck, I will be the meatshield... again"
But then I did started tanking, and oh well mate, I feel you
Keep going! I'm sure you will fulfill all your roles perfectly, and that you will achieve accordingly
Best regards,
