Jewelcrafting and the Tank
As much as it pains me to give up mining on a second toon, I believe the reward of learning jewelcrafting is worth the extra metal bars clogging my bank slots. No more perpetual, "I don't have any bag space, wait!"
I had written an entry which was deleted as I attempted to jostle my computer into converting a TIF into a JPEG from Excel. Hopefully I'll get this ore prospecting probability chart up, just because it's cute.
On a sidetrack, I was just offered a bribe to the combination to the men's bathroom, of a stunning total of 1 dollar. 1 dollar to risk my job. What a fucking idiot.
Back to Jewelcrafting. I've been doing a spreadsheet to track my progress. Yeah it's pretty damn controlling but I liken this to a personal experiment to maximize my limited resources with little expenditure.

I'll have you in no time in all my sockets. Muhahaha!
LOL I love JC. Our second week in Mount Hyjal, we one-shot all three bosses. On the first boss, a crappy spell penetration JC recipe dropped but noone had the ability to craft it. So the raid leader made an "executive decision" (his words) and elected to sponsor 3-4 raiders to level up JC to benefit the guild. So far, I'm 210. I'm using the mats I've been hoarding for the past 3 years so it's very satisfying to realize why I'm a packrat...for moments like these where having stacks of Large Fang doesn't constitute crazy Minju, but rather a pragmatic/time-saving Minju...with a flair.
I have more to write but it's time to freelance now. Have fun.

| | I really wished I picked a different profession than a BS. But after spending the time and money, I dont think I will drop it any time soon. I will probably drop mining like you did, but Im still not sure which secondary profession I should get. But first, I need to save some money after losing 1.5k of gold to a guildy who I loan money to decided to transfer to different server two day after I gave him the money. But anyway, back to JC. There is so many new awesome design that came out with 2.4 that I feel like BS was just left out in the cold. And the new meta gem [item]Eternal Earthstorm Diamond[/item]...... what else can you say. |

| | I agree. BS has been ignored in these patches so I'm also reluctant to say that the investment in mats on my warrior was worth it. As for that guildie, are you doing anything about it? I'm also torn between the stamina and defense. I'm way defense-capped and as a pally, my stamina pool is more essential than avoidance (more heals, more mana, more threat). Block value is important too but it becomes the difference between having more health or more avoidance. |

| | I spoke to A GM about my issue. But I got the typical Blizz response. They said they dont hold anyone accountable for gold lost through trade It sucks when someone like that doesnt hold accountable for such behavior. But at the same time, it was my fault. I should have known better. But I pretty much got most of my money back through the new dailies......kaching $$$ But anyway, I was sifting through the JC design, and it seems like most it are world drops. Which mean investing more money to get them. I wish it was the same as the BS plan like the felsteel or the ragesteel, where it drops on certain location. And from personal experience , I have never even once seen a JC design drop from my WOW career. Picking up this profession is really going to be a big investment. So far enchanting seems to be more highly favorable as most of the recipe are through rep and a few world drops. |
