Shouts need to be looked at. Q&A said they're fine L2P. I say no :P The usual things I see for shout changes are:
- Remove rage cost
- Generate rage on use with cooldown
- Increase range to 30/40 yards
- Increase duration
I'd be happy if blizzard did implement any one of them, though I'd really go for #2 and #3. #4 could be ignored if they did this:
"Commanding/Battle/Demoralizing shout is no longer off the global cooldown"
Then it'd be E-mazing. Not having to waste a cooldown putting this up while tanking/dps'ing would be great. I can't imagine any situation where you'd be alternating shouts so quickly, nevermind using rage to do that.

I'd be happy if they just removed the rage requirement to be honest. It's so annoying before a pull to bloodrage and challengin shout only to have a couple people say they missed the shout. Then i'm like "lol 1 minute CD on bloodrage you'll have to wait".
Another one is when doing battlegrounds. In Arathi basin for example i'll like to keep my shout up while i'm defending a base which means bloodrage is on cooldown half the time. I have bloodrage macroed into a lot of my stance dance macros so i have enough rage to do things when i switch and if it's on cooldown because of refreshing shouts i end up without rage when i need it.Posted 07-19-2009 at 03:57 AM by kemikalkadet

Shouts off the GCD and costing no rage would be a decent solution imo. It's not like we will "shout" someone to death really and reapplying TC > Demo > Commanding Shout as a main tank isn't doing wonder for our already halting threat and dps. It would however prim. solve pulling issues (i.e. blood rage > shout > wait 60s > blood rage > pull).
I know however Blizzard has stated they don't want things be to off the GCD, given again, these arn't things you would spam a player, boss or server to death with.Posted 07-19-2009 at 07:13 AM by Roarc

There should really be an ability that causes you to generate rage quickly while also losing health. Think of something along the lines of that Warlock ability that turns health into mana, only it's a DoT.
Something like gaining 10 rage + 50 over 5 seconds, but losing 1% of total health every second for 5 seconds. And give it a really short cooldown and take it off the GCD. Thus DPS 'could' use this when healing isn't a sensitive issue, and it could be a good burst damage ability in PvP at the expensive of taking a decent amount of damage.
Infact, that's quite similar to an existing ability Death Knights can use - Hysteria. Only this time we get rage, and it's self cast only.
Or tie it in directly to Berzerker Stance, getting rage every second at the cost of your own health. Could mean we could start a PvE fight with full rage (shock! Being on even terms with everyone else?).
Wouldn't be something you'd want to use all the time, certainly. But I'd like that.
And sorry for being off topic, it just sparked me. The no-rage longer duration shouts would be fantastic. I mean Paladins get their Auras, after all.Posted 07-19-2009 at 07:58 AM by Durandro

On topic: Removing the rage cost would be the biggest thing I would like. It's such a pain. It's some "realistic" thing about the duration, they want us shouting in combat. If you want that, give us more useful shouts FFS!Posted 07-19-2009 at 09:24 AM by Ferag

How about having a rage cost should you be in combat, and if you're not in combat, have it be free... If you're smacking a boss and battle shout goes down, you should have plenty of rage to get it back up. And, correct me if i'm wrong, if you're talented its a 4.5 min uptime... which isn't bad at all.Posted 07-22-2009 at 02:20 PM by Insom
