I remember a couple years when I was leveling my lil human female warrior. At the time my level 60 mage was my main. I'd learned a bit about tanking by way of running with a ruthless warrior, who, if you pulled aggro on the mob he was tanking he let it run over and smack you to death. This guy was considered a jerk by many, but if you followed his direction it was a successful run. He'd explain his methods, but at that time nothing about tanking made sense to me.
