I had this on the tail-end of a response to one of Veneretio's posts.

Changing topic:

There was a post or guide or something that had a warrior talent spec designed to help tank aoe trash mobs, if anyone remembers where it is could you pop a link in a pm for me please or repost it.

Someone found this for me...of all classes a pableep.

Admittedly, I'm a druid/paladin and my warrior is only level 24ish... but I would think something like this would work better:

I always hear warriors complain about Cleave's rage cost, so I'm surprised the build you linked doesn't have any rage management talents. I also am a firm believer in tab devastates since tab lacerates work so well for my druid. I also think you'd get more mileage out of 1H spec just because cleave's bonus damage is so low anyway... but this keeps the piercing howl talent.

Yeah, I'm recruiting the resto druid, and spriests x2 who were brave enough to let me tank h sh as dps spec....ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch. We had feared mobs galore, mc'd mobs, dead bodies everywhere including ours, but, we made it to 3rd boss and then I had to bail so I could go sleep for work the next day. We had a rogue who brought in his Pableeep and they finished the run.

Ty for the input Alent and good luck with all the guild stuff and raiding going on.

    Hai urself Tree.

So we'll try h sh part duex and see how the aoe tanking goes this time. Fortunately for the guild we won't likely have to resort to me respec'ing for MH (especially since I'm looking for my 8k crit execute now, had a 7.6k the other day), we have 2 pableeeps lined up to app.

p.s. I think I need to hire my own censor monitor.

    Alent,

To clarify on the pableeps suggestion for aoe warrior spec, he put the talent points in Iron will for the MH trash, Aboms stun a lot, and the booming voice because I think the he thinks demo shout is threat generator...so larger radius=larger threat radius. Which is not necessarily true, but I believe what was his line of thinking on this.

I think what Alent said is right on. The rage savings from 'Focused Rage' as well as one hand spec's added damage are important, more so than imp cleave, the anti stun talent and TM.

There are a few gear tricks that may help too. [item]Petrified Lichen Guard[/item] with a Felsteel spike would do a little damage to the mobs and build passive threat while you apply offensive threat abilities to them though its a huge EH trade off.

The [item]figurine of the colossus[/item]would give a ton of healing threat to you if you had aggro on multiple mobs and the CD was up.

I came up with, keep in mind the specific purpose is to tank MH trash waves:

or, it's hard to go w/o devestate. Could probably get rid of the cleave and put few points in demo, go down and get dev.:

    Iron will for stun resist.

I play a warrior tank. A big thing that has helped with my multi-mob tanking is a glyph combo mixed with an AOE skill rotation. i.e. Pull in your preferred fashiong (Shoot, Throw, Heroic Throw, or Charge.). Follow up directly with a Thunderclap and a Shockwave. Then begin with tab Devastates. This has worked well for me with Glyph of Devastate and Glyph of Sunder Armor which work in Tandem but placing 2 stacks of sunder on the targeted mob and 1 on a nearby untargeted. If you are quick about this you can turn a 4 mob uncontrolled mob group into a controlled fully sundered fully focused on you mob group. Just remember to switch back to the primary kill target often as to not lose its aggro under the DPS. Beyond this if you have aggro already, Damage Shield talent is great for extra threat as well as previously stated, you highest level shield spike would be a big improvement.
