I have done this sort of thing the past few weeks on the Eventide forums and I'm now bringing it to a wider audience. Its still full of fail but then, its entertaining for me so meh.

So, how was 4th of July fireworks for you? You're a candy ass if you don't make your own...

Dozens of spas operate in Russia's Caucasus Mountains region, exploiting the mineral springs in the area, and apparently colonic treatment is a specialty. In fact, in June, the Mashuk-Akva Term spa in Zheleznovodsk unveiled a large monument to the enema (an 800-pound brass syringe bulb held aloft by three angels). "Let's beat constipation," read one banner. Said the sculptor: "This device is eternal; it will never change. We could promote this brand, turn it into a franchise with souvenirs and awards for medical doctors." [CNN-AP, 6-19-08]

Since 2004 the Palmerton Area (Pa.) School Board has paid $45,000 for the special education of Rebecca Maykish, 17, who has an apparently devastating fear of "school," dating back to fourth grade. The mere act of spending time in a classroom, her mother says, causes her to cry nonstop for hours. The board, acknowledging her "generalized anxiety disorder," agreed to accommodate her illness by specially funding things broadly educational or therapeutic, and so far that includes not only tutors and software but modeling classes and travel, to build her self-esteem. The Morning Call of Allentown reported in May that, with the board's funds depleted, and Rebecca's continuing to drop out shortly after each school year begins, the government has begun to impose truancy fines on her mother. Dentist Who Hates It When That Happens: Anne Greer filed a lawsuit in June against Winter Park, Fla., dentist Wesley Meyers over the death of her father last year during procedures to secure his dentures with implants. During the October 2006 visit, Meyers had accidentally dropped a screwdriver down the patient's throat, which required a colonoscopy to remove. The man returned the following year to give Meyers another chance (against his daughter's wishes), and during that procedure, Meyers accidentally dropped a torque wrench down his throat, creating problems that ultimately proved fatal. ok, that's just messed up.

So, Saturday night I took my wife's parents out to eat for thier 40th wedding anniversary. They invited some of thier friends and we went to some swank fondue joint called "The Melting Pot" The food was excellent. I even had a glass of wine to wash down the massive check I was expecting. (/shudder) The funniest thing about it was that my father in law wore the same clothes he got married in 40 years ago. Tuxedo shirt, long, paisley neck tie and a very odd white jacket. Wow. My brother in law apparently missed the memo on it being a nice place and showed up in camo cuttoff shorts and flipflops.

So the grand total with tip came to $613. Because this was for my wife's family and friends, I am expecting some sort of restitution for it. Add to all this the fact we took my 6 yo and 4 yo with us and the little one especially behaved like a wild monkey. And then there's the butting heads with my mother in law over discipline. "Sit. Down. Now." vs. "oh, come here sweety, give Nana a big kiss! Lets sing a song!" Oh God, shoot me.

I suck on my hunter. I really like him and he's got personality as well as a pet bear named Porkchop. He's got a few pieces of PvP loots and crafted epics but his DPS is terrible. Well, he is MM spec so the bear does a fair amount but still. My mage is in similar quality gear and I can absolutely blow shit up. I don't guess I'm really that bad but its annoying. I've been playing a baby shaman the past few days and she's alot of fun. Never seen the moongoat starting quests before.

Mmmkay, we have a big election coming up this November(for those of us in the US, at least) and I'm not going to discuss politics one way or the other. The key is this, though: Educate yourself on the issues and let your voice be heard in your vote.

This post just came up on the random blog at the top of the page, and all three videos showed up with it.

    Curse you, Horacio.
