I haven't been playing alot lately, been busy with other things but I'm still raiding Wed/Thurs night and last night was a pretty good raid.
I missed last Wed so only got in on and a couple hours of Yogg wipes and picked up the spare on Ignis and Razorscale.
Last night we hit the Coliseum and one shot Beasts and Lord Jaraxxus pretty handily. The Champions was pretty cool. We got it on the third pull and most of the raid had fun with it outside the obligatory "I hate PvP", "Blizzard sucks, this is a PvE server" etc, etc.
So on to Ulduar and our first real attempt at a hard mode went well. Got XT to 31% while 'Heartbroken' I spent most of my time chasing sparks or picking up when the MT got splattered. One shot everything else up through Thorim, skipping Hodir until tonight.
No loots for me or the other tanks. F--- the random number generator.

I never understand the "I hate PvP" argument on things like this. The biggest problems PvP faces are class imbalances and difference in level of gear. None of that is going to apply in a pvp sense in the arena boss type battle. Maybe I'm missing something.
Edit: Grats on progress!

The main reason people say they hate pvp is they hate dealing with mobs that don't stick to tanks and hit clothies. Clothies hate having to cope with these things, and normally in PVE they can rightly blame tanks for not picking up the mob. That is not the case here, so they have to use their innate abilities to avoid dying. This takes them away from their traditional role of healing or dpsing, which means their recount scores will go down.Posted 08-22-2009 at 05:56 AM by Durenas

I was one of the "I hate PvP" people in Magister's Terrace and still think this is bad design. The reason is that as a player you can prefer PvP or PvE and it's annoying when suddenly you have a small compulsory PvP-like segment in the middle of your PvE progression. Equally, if you had to defeat Emalon *before* engaging in Wintergrasp, it would be reasonable for PvP players to claim "I hate raids".Posted 08-22-2009 at 09:34 PM by Machus
