Wow. It has been a while. I have been away from the game for almost a month now as my grades have declined and I am finalizing my wedding (or is it her wedding?) plans. May 24th cannot come fast enough.

Back to the game...I have been invited to transfer to a RP server from my PVP server to join some friends from my old guild on EQ (Povar-Tarew Alliance). This is a great chance for me to actually see some content past Kara w/o having to lead.

The only problem is the declining grades and the wedding prep. Perhaps I will be able to do it in June. Hopefully they will not have filled the spot by then

Since I have never done a server transfer, does it make sense to buy a few items I need from the AH on my (highly populated) server before the transfer (to a much lower populated server)?

I would recommend creating a level 1 character on the server you are thinking of transferring to in order to check the AH prices. It will only take a few minutes, and then you will know exactly what is/isn't available and at what price.
