I noticed something new happening to our guild this expansion - people are angry, even though nothing is wrong.

I'd like to think I've seen it all. "It" being the reasons for which people get upset or confrontational in this game.

It ranges and varies. Some people are just jerks, or are going through something in real life. It can be loot related, or wipe related, or performance related, or because of a canceled raid, or because someone pulled adds, or because...

As a guild we've never had too many spare raiders around, because we don't like to make people sit out. The most we've ever had step out of a raid is probably five.

That's good and bad. The bad is that we've been having some issues with our Kael'thas progression recently, because of attendance.

For three weeks in a row, we'd clear everything up to Kael, and possibly throw a couple of half-assed attempts in, but then came the dreadful Sunday raids.

Morale will make or break your raid.

What are the ingredients needed for a successful raid?

Good gear? Skilled players? Good communication? Enough consumables? Being familiar with the strategies?

Sure. All of that. But in my mind, the single most important factor that will decide how well your raid goes, is morale. And morale has more of an impact than any of these other things I've listed.

Morale is a fickle thing. It can't really be measured....
