Late Nights and Leaving "Early"
Well, if only my first blog here was a happy one.
My guild was raiding Naxx 25 last night. We're not very pro at quick runs, so it takes us a while. We usually start at 7 (or so the calendar says) and end around 10, until this week with 3 wings clear.
Well, this week we were quite a bit faster, and at 9:45 we had cleared 3 wings. So we started on the Military Quarter. Everything went great, we one shot everything, but due to some computer issues we finished the quarter at 10:30. 4H dropped that tanking sword, the slow one. I passed it to one of our other tanks, the only other Warrior (we have no Paladins).
All of a sudden, they had the great idea of clearing Naxx in one night. I told them that it was getting too late for me, and I was going to head out, as did 4 or 5 other members.
So I log on today, expecting them to have stopped after 4H. No. Apparently they found some more people and went on to clear Naxx.
After 6 freaking weeks of Naxx I have yet to see BoH or LL drop. The one (1) night I leave "early", Last Laugh drops. The tank who I passed the 4H sword gets it, as he is the only one who can use it.
Now I'm stuck with my Red Sword of Courage and a full rage bar. Curse you late nights.

If you leave early your gear will drop - you should know better...

- Cant expect 18 other people to call it quits just because you did. There was only 2 bosses left, and no trash.. Shoulda stuck it out! Still sucks though and Id prolly be pissed too..

Going on after pre-set raid times is bad policy.
People sign up to a guild and check what times the guild raids. Then they look at their personal situation if they can make that times. They join the guild. Some people have jobs or other things for which they can not continue for extended raidtimes. If they would have known up front they might have joined a guild which matched their times.Posted 04-01-2009 at 06:17 PM by orcstar - Hehe, I know that the guild, raid, other people, etc don't revolve around me, it was just that they went on after normal raid times, like orcstar said. Ah well, was just venting anyways, I see the humor in it now.

Posted 04-01-2009 at 08:56 PM by heffalump - The thing to remember with loot is to remember that it will eventually drop. I didn't say it will be dropping for you, no of course I wouldn't claim anything as audacious as that. But you will see it drop.
And well, I don't know what your guild rules are. I for one am quite happy the raids I join stop at about 23:00 server time - makes waking up in the morning so much better. The late night tries are usually full of mysterious mix ups and certain deaths for some people anyways. I guess you could take it up with your raidlead - but really - I don't know if you have a policy. Having a policy helps a lot though.
