I raid on US-Khaz'goroth as a mage and a protection warrior. Bouncing between Sunwell Plateau and Serpentshrine Cavern and all the zones in-between, I'm one confused raider.

We downed Brutallus! Now we can say our Kalecgos kill wasn't a fluke! I did my personal best at 2015 dps for one of the attempts. It's nothing to write home about, but as a mage, it's a milestone in my raiding career.

And on to more frivolous news...

My warrior recently got his T5 shoulders and to say that it was an itch I have been longing to scratch is an understatement. I remember seeing my main guild's MTs getting theirs over a year ago and being terribly impressed by the size of those blades. For a long time, I felt like a scrub main-tanking in SSC/TK wearing [item]Mantle of Abrahmis[/item]. Last Saturday, we managed to down Kaz'rogal in our now weekly MH PUG. I lost the roll to [item]Kaz'rogal's Hardened Heart[/item] but won a [item]Pepe's Shroud of Pacification[/item] which I've always felt looks darn awesome too.

Your mileage may differ, but I've always felt that the 3 gear slots that singled out main-tanks at a glance are Shoulders, Shield and Weapon. Taurens and Orcs have the advantage because of the size of their shoulders. (I can fit a gnome rogue in each of mine now!) I guess it's partially why the [item]Bulwark of Azzinoth[/item] is on the dream list of many T6 tanks. The amazing stats matters greatly of course, but who can resist carrying a giant cheese-grater on their back? I know I can't.

Onwards to Felmyst!

I can get with that. Helm is pretty noticable but I have always hidden mine so meh. Overall, I haven't been terribly inpressed with Blizzards shield skins over the years but the Bulwark is pretty sweet looking. I thought the ERB was hawt back in the day and for the zillion times we killed Chrommie and me passing the only one that dropped.......ugg.

[item]Phoenix-wing cloak[/item] looks pretty nice and that's what I currently wear along with the [item]Merciless Gladiator's Shield Wall[/item] and well.....Thunderfury, which might be a little underpowered but it's still incredible to look at.

I think the ZA stuff looks awesome. The shoulders and shield at least. Skulls on shoulders is all win.

Eh....the ZA stuff is definitely unique and all fits together. It certainly looks better on some races than others. Personally, playing a human and with only a few pieces here and there, I think it looks like crap, lol. But to each thier own.

Warriors are really lucky in that our tier sets are without fail, at least decent looking and depending on your tastes, pretty bad ass. Other classes are bland, hit or miss or outright blech. I really like the look of Warbringer, personally though Onslaught is just full of win and there....the shoulders are kinda meh, going against the 'shoulders make the outfit' theory.

I still keep 8/8 Wrath in the bank. I need to bust it out and parade around IF in it one of these days

My warlock keeps his T0 set in the bank. Minus the legs... they never dropped for me.

Blizzard is punishing Dps warriors...ask anyone who thought they were lucky to get [item]blood-stained pauldrons[/item] then saw what they actually looked like, then realized they wouldn't replace them forever

[item]Pauldrons of Stone Resolve[/item] is a re-coloured version of [item]Blood-stained Pauldrons[/item], a badge piece I refuse to get forever for my dps set because of how bad they looked. I had to wear Stone Resolve for a while before the T5 dropped, and was dubbed "HH, the Witchdoctor", really not something a tank hopes to be called.

And I second you, Horacio. Warrior teir gear looks so badass! My mage is in t6 with the TV antenna helm. We used to joke that our mages could get HBO with them, and I could 1-shot Illidan if I could get someone to throw me at him and puncture his lungs or something.

Elyvern I think you are confused about the shoulders, Stone resolve look nothing like blood stained. Stone resolve and the badge dps ones are the lookalikes. Blood stained are the ones that look like chinese parade dragons.

Oops, my bad. Although personally I feel [item]Swiftsteel Shoulders[/item], aka Blingsteel Shoulders look worse. At least you can be gaudy in a baroque way, as opposed to being gaudy in a "you got to be kidding me" way with the ZA badge shoulders. :P

I am personally dissapointed in myself for vendoring the helm of the stalwart defender, I think wearing that piece of baby blue hawtness with the red parade wear shoulders would be truly the ugliest combination possible in WoW.

Oh dear god, how did I miss that one? Thank god for being able to hide helm/cloak graphics in the game! That looks like the exact model of [item]Iceguard Helm[/item] for my Hydross tanking set, of which I always disable the helm display. ^^

Unfortunately, I've been completely desensitized to t5 shoulder models due to Arena s2. In fact, not only do I see the models constantly being paraded around IF, but if I ever see them in a 5-man I know instantly (and have not been wrong once) that I'd see the word 'gladiator' painted everywhere on that player.

I think that considering how much easier s2 is to get than t5, the least Blizzard could have done was recolor it more strikingly than simply having different shades of brown. Different models is obviously too much to hope for.
