Im realy getting sick of people just bidding massive amounts or rolling on every epic that drops, regardless of stats. Tonight a DK rolled on legs that gave SBV.
"Did he seriously just grab the legs our two warriors are going for?"
"Yea I dont know why hes in the guild, those are clearly warrior/pally tanking legs. Hes not even a tank, let alone a warrior/pally."
We have convo's like that every night we raid because there are atleast 3 "Good friends" with an officer that make everyone want to break their computers. We actualy booted an officer and his friend when his "Good friend" rolled need for Turning Tide because it was "a super sweet threat sword." Paladins just gonna let you know unless you REALY need it for HEALING its a caster weapon.
Worst Offenders of rolling on gear not good for their spec: Mages -> DK's -> Hunters -> Paladins

do you guys monitor your loot? i mean.. if your master looting it wouldnt be a problem to say "hey.. why are you being stupid and rolling on shit that has SBV" and then just dont give it to himPosted 02-21-2009 at 10:23 AM by squats - DK's and Mages do love to roll on gear that they shouldn't. DK's rolling on tanking gear (specially shield block rating/value stuff, when they aren't even tanks) and Mages rolling on healing gear (i.e. if it's got Spirit and you're not Arcane, what are you thinking?).
Getting gear as a Warrior can suck. But as a Shaman, I rarely have issues with people rolling against me.Posted 02-21-2009 at 01:21 PM by Durandro - I myself play a prot warrior and I've had the most issues with DK's rolling on gear for their offspec and saying its their mainspec. An example would have to be several weeks ago I tanked a regular HoL. Finally after running the instance five or so times the defense trinket I've been after dropped.
The DK I happened to be grouped with was unholy and had no business rolling on the defense trinket. If he/she wanted it they should have tanked. Anyways I won the roll the DK complained about runing the instance multiple times trying to get that trinket.Posted 02-21-2009 at 02:09 PM by Vapo - Same happened to me, except that I lost the roll. Updated 02-21-2009 at 04:24 PM by Durandro (spelling mistake) - Its not just bound to a specific class, i have been with countless classes, warriors, shamans, mages, hunters, paladins.. well you get the idea. And each and everyone of em have rolled on their "offspecc". Which im cool with. I let ppl know when i joins what my intent is with the run, e.g if i run HoL normal my only goal is to get the trinket, regardless if i tank or not. Since chockenly its quite easy to switch to an offspecc if you are full on tanks. But if im there for tankgear im not greedy i only roll on dps if noone wants it...
Usualy some crappy tank crys about it and threatns to leave, since he have worked his ass of to get the item... But if you have 2 melee dps classes competing for the same gear wouldnt it be fair for a melee to compete for tankstuff if thats what he is there...
Regardles how you see on it, Being a tank isnt awesome, its not gamebreaking and ofc not treatble like a royal. Tanks can be replaced and even easier with 3.1. I say, roll on the gear YOU are after since most of the time (if its not guildies or mates) they doesnt care a crap about what you want, only what they want.
