Frustrations
We cleared SSC =sans= Vashj for the first time the week before Christmas. It took us a week longer than we though for everyone to get back online and get us back in there, so scratch the first week of January off the list.
The following week, between attendance issues and people remembering how to raid, we didn't get to Vashj until the final night of our raiding week. We got 2 or 3 attempts in and everyone got to see the basic premise of the fight.
The third week we completely forgot how to raid the first night and struggled to kill *anything*. Second night the server crashed halfway through our raid time. Third night Vent crashed and we lost over an hour trying to find alternate means of communication. We got some good solid attempts in on the final raid night and got 3 power cores completed.
So now it is the last week of January. We got Hydross, Lurker, and Leo on the first night, and FLK and Tidewalker the next night. I was pretty excited when I logged in tonight that we were going to have two full nights dedicated just to Vashj.
I form the raid, step inside SSC, and get the loading screen of doom. Raid instance server is down. *sigh*
We mull around for 1/2 an hour before we decide to go raid Stormwind. Since every other raiding guild on the server is similarly bored, we run into a full room of Alliance and get lagged to death.
Another 1/2 hour of figuring out what we're going to do passes, and we get the "Server shutdown: 15 mins" message.
It's been at least an hour now, and it's still down. There will be no raiding tonight.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to get in there and have a full night of attempts on Vashj, but it just makes me so frustrated that her kill is probably going to get put off yet another week.

I feel your pain. The instance server FUBAR caused my guild to miss out on a possible Dragonhawk boss kill. I imagine it was an equally frustrating occurrance for a lot of other guilds too.Posted 01-28-2008 at 12:12 AM by Arrivan 
- Yeah, it looked like nearly 1/2 the servers were offline for over an hour, so I know it wasn't just us. I just figured that as long as I was bored twiddling my thumbs I might as well come write about it =D

Same....We were gathering up for TK and gunning for our first Solarian kill which happens to hold the one item I am particularly interested in acquiring for my druid. Next week we have Sunday scheduled for TK....in the middle of the Superbowl

/sigh. Oh well, we'll get some work in on SSC. We're 4/6, just need Leo and Vashj.
I know where you're coming from....the holiday really set us back alot and last Thursday was our first new boss kill in forever (FLK) We seem to be on track now but the server problems don't help. they never seem to come at a time when everyone needs to chill out and take a break.
