Want too know whats complete BS?
A few weeks ago, I posted a blog on how I got kicked from my old guild, for fighting with the guild leader. So I found a new guild, they were starting 10 man naxx.
I am one who likes too do bleeding edge content, not world first, just. I want too be there when we have that first kill, I love the feeling.
Anyways, I ran every heroic, helped geared 3 healers, 3 dps, and myself, I then started my own 10 man, of some people who weren't in the 10 man roster. Helped gear them.
We start 25 mans, the first week I OT in the 25 mans, being only 2 kills into 10 man naxx, I wasn't 10 man geared, while the other two were.
Today we get a permanent 25 man list.
Guess who isn't on it?
Me. Why? Because they don't need 3 tanks.
._. What do they do with me instead? Make me a gear whore.
I am too run 10 man naxx, for the rest of my life, too gear people for 25 mans, no.
I don't get too do 25 mans.
UNLESS I GO FURY.
WHAT THE FUCK.
I joined this guild telling them.
I wanted in on 25 mans.
And I will not dps, I love tanking.
Its bullshit, and no other guild on the server needs any prot warriors
I wouldnt be mad, but they told me I would be on progression groups,
and I would be tanking..
Not some gear jockey.

- Unfortunately it seems common to most realms, there is now a massive glut of tanks and, with the reduction in requirements for said tanks (2 in 10 mans, 3 in 25 mans), you are in the same boat as the dime-a-dozen DPS.
Posted 12-15-2008 at 04:07 AM by Bokur - yea our prot pally healed most of the night and our feral was basically dps. its just the reality of the situation. Your options are to wait it out and work for a spot(which will require someone leaving or something) or app to new guilds.

-Shameless plug-Posted 12-15-2008 at 10:37 AM by Bragoon - Why not tell them you think Gearing up toons in the 10 mans is important work and you want to do your share, BUT you want to rotate into the 25 mans to MT or OT. 3 Tanks should mean you are in the 25 man at least 1/2 if just the OT rotates, and 2/3 if the 25 man MT / OT rotate. If they say no, you are screwed and need to move on.

Our guild has a warrior MT, and feral OTs so they can lay on the DPS when they are not needed. I think that is one big advantage droods have over the rest of the tanking community, they can also be for fite.Posted 12-16-2008 at 11:21 PM by Byatch
