I don't know about you but today is an exciting day for me and an exciting day for America.
I mean, i'm basically speechless. Its exciting, scary and exhilarating all at the same time.
Reality is much of the world/economy around me is collapsing - jobs/layoffs/salary caps/benefit cuts, housing price collapses and credit freezes and i guess i'm starting to see a glimmer of hope.
I don't see the hope as a miracle worker but hope as someone who has the audacity to simply listen to the people he represents. No apparent fixed agenda, no overriding undertones - just someone who wants to make a difference and has thus far done remarkably well without even haven taken over the office.
I don't expect miracles to happen, but what has happened is a Miracle in and of itself. The simple miracle of America moving on and accepting people for who their regardless of what they look like. A small miracle, but one we should relish in for being able to experience in our own lifetime. Some, more than others.

- Well, the presidents job isn't to be a miracle maker but what he's done over the past 4 years from a freshman senator to our commander in chief is a miracle

- I completely agree with Kalel. Frankly Saint Obama hasnt done squat. BUT....now that he's going to be (and is now) president, I really hope the for the best. I REALLY hope he does all the good, intelligent things that need to be done. Christ I know I need a job...Thanks W.

Just face it. Hes a socialist. Its true. Its pretty undeniable. That said, I hope he's one of our best presidents ever. That term gets thrown around far too often without being used even close to correctly. After all whats the difference between giving 850 billion dollars to stockholders of banks and giving 200billion dollars to working class people? Answer the 200 billion is the work of a SOCIALIST and is bad - the 850 billion dollars is a neccesary response to stablize markets.
