The 10 million Wow subscribers are a diverse bunch spanning the globe as well as all age groups, social tiers, professions, etc. Some play this game at a very high level and have nothced victories on raid bosses others day dream about or simply don't care for. Through Tankspot and similar outlets, I have met players who have gone and conquered and they too are a diverse group of people.

How do you or your guild measure success? Is your guild a success if they kill Illidan but are...

How did I get here?

That doesn't mean I didn't have experience tanking but on another toon, or that at the very least, I did MC and was working on BWL or something. Unless you count walking into ZG once at 60-- and failing miserably with the rest of my guild-- I had no experience. I remember sitting around Stormwind in my horrible questing...

Updated 11-20-2007 at 08:28 AM by Paumedie

A raid leader's purpose is to guide...to direct. A raid leader's purpose is not to hold the hands of 24 other people by telling them exactly where to stand and what buttons to press at all times. My job as a raid leader is to give my team (my friends) the tools they need to succeed.

Quote:

A Tale of Two Noobs...

Posted 01-25-2008 at 12:06 PM by Horacio (I'm not a doctor but I play one in Wow.)

Last Sunday was my guild's first foray into TK in about 5 months. We have been hitting SSC hard and cleaning up Gruul/Mags and left the 2 or 3 VR kills stand off by themselves. Being stymied on FLK and Leo, we turned back to TK and Loot Reaver to ease some tension and see some different scenery.

As a RL of my previous guild, I was focused on Lurker and Mags so never had ventured forth into TK. Last Sunday was my first time. I was a VRgin.

Well, I went, I saw, I fell...
