I had a terrible headache earlier tonight that basically kept me from playing Aion, but the brief time I was online I noticed something: all of the chat channels were offline for some reason.

It was strangely disconcerting not to see the usual round of trolls in LFG. I usually think they all should be /banned from the channel, but it got me thinking.

Which came first: The troll, or the bridge?

    "came" or "was"

trolls were first, but the bridge had to be there for the trolls to come, which means the bridge came first but the trolls were first.

i say the designers came 1st... if they hadn't thought of the ravine, got the 3D modellers to make it... the trolls wouldn't have come to build their bridges...

either that.. it was the forums that came 1st... the ravine and bridge isn't really there...

Well, technically the etymology for internet trolls relates the term to fishing terminology and not to the bridge-dwelling fairytale creature.
