Squish squish...

Well so far I've had an interesting week. We've finally attempted an hour or two of 25 man Trial of the Grand Crusader. With my gear not being excessively bad at all I have never felt so squishy in my entire tanking career. With 50.2k health fully buffed I was left giving my healers a 'breathing room' of less than 1000 hitpoints. Did I mention that was after I had swapped out my black heart for a brewfest trinket? Ah well. It was good to see dps finally do dps, tanks organising themselves and healers stepping up to the ball. We pretty damn near nailed it too. I don't think that was all that bad considdering we've not downed any hard modes in Ulduar.
Lootwise... Well I finally got the Auriaya cloak (Oh my! it actually exists!) and I ened up getting the headpiece from Onyxia for my passive unhitteable gearset. That set is at 95% doge/parry/miss/block at the moment. I could push for more but I appear to be dropping so much health now that I worry about meeting the minimum for getting to bring the set out and using it. Either way, it is a fun set to have lying around - now if I only could cut the clutter out of my bags! And my bank! I guess I can't really wait till spring before I do a grand cleanup!
Also; I'm considdering dishing out the cash and emblems for the breastplate of the white knight. It's a minor survival upgrade, and with me not having the legpiece of Kologarn I guess I'm off well if I have a piece that allows me a bit more health and avoidance. For once I'm relatively happy I am an engineer, thus allready having 885 extra armor instead of stamina or health from my profession so I shouldn't be 'behind the curve' all that much adding all things up.
We've spent tons of time on Yogg-Saron with only 3 guardians up over the last couple of weeks. I think we got some good tries in and we've had a couple of 10% wipes yesterday evening. We run relatively melee heavy but alas it appears they're incapable of keeping the add damage up throughout the whole fight. We're very close to nailing it and I am sure that our lucky paladin will soon have a legendary mace on his armory profile. I't just a matter of ironing out that last few little mistakes we're making.
Lately I've been having some trouble keeping mobs of my melee dps when I'm running heroics. Their aoe burst lasts longer than what I can usually do and I've had to resort to taunting and petty tactics like rushing ahead way in front of everyone to get a couple of seconds extra threat in. I'm currently using my threat specc (with deep wounds and 5/5 shield specialisation) run around hit capped, with about 43 expertise skill and as much blockvalue as I can punch in. Bye all means such a set is more than capable of good threat and damage output. It just irks me that, though trivial as running a heroic might be, I seem to be unable to do my job properly.
Further on, I've finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Aion. So far it's a nice change of scenery compared to world of warcraft. I found the zones good looking so far and I am liking the looks of my little warrior (soon to be templar) quite a bit. To be honest, I don't really intend to play Aion over world of warcraft - I simply intend to hide there a little and detox myself a little. I find myself just a little bit too fanatic in pursueing upgrades in wow at the moment. I find the 'must do daily instance, daily quests and raids' a little tiring at the moment. Escaping and, hopefully, immersing myself in a different world a little where nublet bread and butter quests are all I have will surely wet some appetite for Icecrown (which really can't be that far away now can it?)
Ah well.
Should any of you have nothing to do tonight, send me some luck, I'm in the market for some TotC (heroic) upgrades.
