I've spent just about the whole Monday evening redesigning my user interface. Allright allright… Perhaps redesign isn't exactly the right word for what I did, but tweaking sounds like too little. I've been wanting to try out this viewport thing for quite a while now, so I decided to finally do the time and sit down to tinkering. Now my avatar might be an engineer, personally I find the process of setting up add ons a rather frustrating one. The goals were to get Grid working and to see if I liked...

So in the start of this week I've had a little discussion with my healers. I set out with a couple of questions about how my gear choices for certain encounters really fit in with their heal tossing. Interestingly enough the general concensus was that apart from equiping a high stamina set for hardmode Northrend Beasts there's actually nothing else they notice. Quite frankly - they say that the more stamina/armor you get the better… Fill that up with some more 'we couldn't care less about avoidance'...

How many times will you run into a wall head first to find out something isn't working?
In the raiding business I am guessing that happens quite a bit. And a lot of times for the right reasons, too. A great deal about learning a certain fight is stabilizing each phase going through the motions and perfecting them. I've seen people compare a raiding team to an orchestra, and that comparison isn't too far off. I like that careful approach to learning a new encounter since it maximises...

This morning I drove to work in the dark and the rain. There's quite a bit of wind and there were leaves blowing, circling in the headlights. I don't know why but it felt sort of magical - rather hard to describe - kind of like watching a little show that was put on just for me. I digress, of course. But well, there's so much to enjoying life. And well - I don't like to discard the little things outright. So I guess writing about them makes em last a little bit longer...

Well so far I've had an interesting week. We've finally attempted an hour or two of 25 man Trial of the Grand Crusader. With my gear not being excessively bad at all I have never felt so squishy in my entire tanking career. With 50.2k health fully buffed I was left giving my healers a 'breathing room' of less than 1000 hitpoints. Did I mention that was after I had swapped out my black heart for a brewfest trinket? Ah well. It was good to see dps finally do dps, tanks organising themselves and healers...
