More ZA shenanigans

Posted 05-19-2008 at 11:24 AM by dlongest
ZA reset on Friday so guild schedules dictated Saturday night for an attempted ZA run. After the most recent attempt, we were skittish about the Gauntlet bugging out, but I got voted down on doing Bear first (almost guaranteeing we get 1 timed chest).

We got 8 people together pretty quickly. That would be 3 guildies (including me) plus the Boomkin that always runs with us and 4 PUGged players. After a little bit, the Boomkin told us he had a resto shaman from an earlier ZA run...

Finally, Al'ar down

Posted 05-19-2008 at 10:03 AM by Rayne
After wiping to him repeatedly on two different nights we went in last night and got him on the third try. The first attempt was our best to date, 13%, he finally enraged after losing four melee really early in the fight (get out of fiery death please) and numerous folks throughout the fight. Second attempt was a comedy of errors (hunter MDing to his pet on the initial pull, losing the Pally ember tank to flame buffets while still in P1). Third fight was very solid. Few deaths all the way through....

Solo-tanked Kara

Posted 05-19-2008 at 07:33 AM by Sprot
As this is my first post, a bit of background: I'm a warrior tank in a casual guild with mostly RL friends, only do 10-mans as I couldn't deal with the frustration 40-mans had to offer, so I have decided not to do any 25s. Summer & wow-weariness & real-life means our exploits into Zul'Aman (Malacrass stopped us dead, the four avatars we managed) just don't happen at the moment, so it's mostly semi-PUGing Karazhan with about half our regulars and a couple friends.

Anyhow, yesterday...

A quiet week

Posted 05-19-2008 at 03:09 AM by Shorty
I guess it's been a quiet time since I last blogged.

RL

In real life, I'm recovering from a nasty cold that laid me flat in bed on friday. I'm also celebrating becoming grown-up, with my first credit card Upgrading my student bank account to a proper one is taking a little longer as UK banks seem to delight in massive amounts of red tape. As far as Wow goes:

The mage

Dyna's been the quietest of all the gnomes, apart from doing chants...
Proud to be a gnome tank
