AAAHHHHHHH!!!

I got hacked sometime last week. What a horrible experience. I would only wish it on people I really, really hate. I feel virtually "raped" as a Hacker scumbag sharded most of my gear (375 enchanter FTL) except for my main tank set, which they then used in Auchidoun instances. Guess there's some kind of exploit were they can get to ore nodes and treasure chests.

Thankfully they were caught in a timely manner, and Blizzard's turnaround on restoring...

So there I am, at Illhoof's door... and one of my dps and one healer leave group.

I understand the dps'er had to go, but the healer... a very good healer too, was having computer issues. Waiting for 1 hour while all the issues were resolved took a lot of my timing. Yet I held Illhoof in place during the 3 wipes. The adds and the chains did us in.

In a way it was very educational. I have never been to Illhoof before, so I learn a couple of valuable lessons:

I've been reading Tankspot for a few months. I found this site through TenTonHammer for the most part. As a quick background, I started playing WoW in December 2006, a friend of mine got me into it. He had a hunter in the 50's but created a mage and I played a paladin. We leveled them to about 40, then he got too b usy to play so I started a rogue. That was a terrifically fun character as well. Damn. I still used Nightfall regularly when I wasn't tanking any given encounter. I always dreamed of some theoretical raid consisting entirely of casters and Nightfallers. It was a tiny piece of the old world that I was able to cling onto, comfortable that it was universally useful and not bound by level; the only thing it scales with is raid size.
