RIP Gary Gygax

I started playing AD&D as a freshman in Highschool in 1991. I had moved to a new town 3 years earlier, but had yet to fully integrate myself with a group of friends. One of my acquaintances from 5th grade told me that they had started playing, and I informed him I was interested. I had no clue what it was about, but being with people (other than my mother and sister) was bound to be more enjoyable than what I was doing at that time.

I've lived alone for over two years. I hate it. People don't understand why I say this, so I'll explain:

• Medical Emergency: What if something happens to me and I can't get help?
• Burglary: What if someone breaks into my home while I'm asleep?
• Creepy Sounding Furnace: Really creepy.

I live with my cell phone constantly charged and by my side. I sleep with a weapon nearby, always. But then, what if a situation arises where I can't give my address if I call 911?

We finally downed that big oaf after a couple of attempts the week before. My guess is our problem was we had ranged run from side to side when a ball was headed towards that group, and that lead to people running directly into other balls that may be flying at that moment.

When/how did you learn to tank more than 1 mob (ack, stupid piles of bugs in AQ20)? How do you do it post-BC?

2 mobs-tc if no cc, if cc then
target 1-ss, dev x1-2
tab-target 2, ss, devs 1-2, keep tabbing and mix in some tc and demo for good measure.

3 mobs-tc, demo, might need to intervene a mob, tab targets, ss, devs, more tc, more demo

more than 3 mobs-see abv, try to throw as much threat around as possible....

Well late last night I bit the bullet and rather than going to sleep (as I should have likely) I took the time to ask a guild member to leave.

This former member was resentfully, accepting of my statement upon addressing him when he joined the channel. The reason why at this point just isn't important and that's actually the point of this post. He asked me if I wanted to know and I informed him I already knew, but he wanted to know if I wanted to hear it from him.
