Confidence while tanking

I used to tank very cautiously when I started in Outland. Instances were new, I was unsure and didn't know what the mobs were like. I used to ask the other players how they usually handled each fight and I marked everything up, used CC but in general got the party through unscathed.

Now I like fast paced instance runs and 90% of the time things go very smoothly and fast. Unless I'm packing a undergeared healer, I don't usually bother with crowd control. This is of course somewhat up...

Hey all. Most people here know me as a shoutbox lurker, once upon a time tank, wannabe fury guy Have not tried the blog thing before, honestly because I did not think I had anything important enough to merit adding to this site. I am not more than a casual number cruncher, nor do I raid hardcore, nor even progressively. Hello Tank Spot.

A introduction is in order. My name is Otmar, though I go by Ott. I am a Priest from Akama, and thus do not understand much of the tanking world. What I do understand is keeping tanks alive. I 'get in the back and tossa le heals' if you will. Thus my experience is likely a bit different then most of yours, but I figured I would try this whole WoW blogging gig and see how it went.

Absolute Certainty

I mused a little bit on what I would post in my next, exciting blog entry (lol) and kicked around an idea or two but....after reading a few posts in the last few days here on Tankspot, I figured I'd go a different direction.

I'll start with this: If you are going to make a definative statement presented as fact, be certain that it is obvious and established fact or have the math/reasonable evidentual back up to prove your point. Shooting your mouth off and passing off items as fact...
