[item]Blade of the Unrequited[/item]
Romulo, Opera Event, Karazhan

This dagger works out to have the highest potential EH of any 1h weapon in the game. This is because it boasts something very rare in a weapon: sockets. The only other socketed weapon I know of is [item]Cleaver of the Unforgiving[/item], which has one socket. The dagger has 3. This enables very high stamina-stacking (+45 with gems), which leads to its high effective health.

What other fun...

Spyglass!

Posted 01-25-2008 at 08:59 PM by thugthedum
So, we did get in to SSC Thursday for those of you who have waited with baited breath for me to say. [item]Spyglass of the Hidden Fleet[/item] dropped, and I handed it to our druid OT who reported quickly that you can use it in forms, thank God. I won the roll, and wouldn't have passed on such a great trinket simply to have it become a weak [item]Goblin Rocket Launcher[/item] without the rocket brigade membership functionality. Gratz Kelan!

Our Lurker attempts did not go well. ...

The fruits of being a good player, especially a good tank, people trust that you will take care of business.

I'm a dps warrior. I still take care of business. I used to try to keep it a little known secret that I can tank heroics, mitigation is not an issue with 22, 18, 23 d/p/b. It's the threat. Threat takes precedence, and hell if you have too much mitigation = no rage = no threat. It's craziness, a heroic mob is beating on you and your rage bar is stuck at 20. If I'm dps...

A Tale of Two Noobs...

Posted 01-25-2008 at 12:06 PM by Horacio
Last Sunday was my guild's first foray into TK in about 5 months. We have been hitting SSC hard and cleaning up Gruul/Mags and left the 2 or 3 VR kills stand off by themselves. Being stymied on FLK and Leo, we turned back to TK and Loot Reaver to ease some tension and see some different scenery.

As a RL of my previous guild, I was focused on Lurker and Mags so never had ventured forth into TK. Last Sunday was my first time. I was a VRgin.

Well, I went, I saw, I fell...

The little things....

Posted 01-25-2008 at 10:23 AM by Horacio
Its the little things, some of them intangible, that seperate the good tanks from those who are mediocre and just plain bad.

Gear is pretty easy. You show up and earn DKP or roll your dice and look over a guide on Tankspot and you're fine. Well removed from the cutting edge, min/maxing is less a concern as its generally a coordination issue or some such that is holding you up on an encounter.

Threat is job one. Gear is preperation that takes place before the raid...
