Hello

Im new to paladin tanking , was told to get mastery up in all cost even if it comes on the price of didge / parry , hit rating expertise etc...
my question is , how much as a paladin , should my parry . dodge / ht rating be to get max mastery ?

thx

Yes, you should reforge everything to mastery. Start with reforging offensiv stats (hit/expertise) and if they're not avaible continue with avoidance (dodge/parry). Pick whatever rating is higher to reduce the impact of diminishing returns on your avoidance stats.

eg:
shield = hit -> mastery
weapon = hit -> mastery

For specc: you missed on Shield of the Templar. It's a great talent reducing your strongest defensive and offensive cooldowns significantly and offering you the option to use 3 Holy Power pre pull or whenever you really need them via Divine Plea.

Awesome advice.. One last thing is balance your Parry/Dodge "in consideration of all raid buffs too".. For now go ahead and just balance them and only adjust if you need to which you can do with alternating foods too and no I would not use a 60 food versus a 90 food to accomplish this I want to use the 90 dodge or parry food with raid buffs and it will be close.

eg:
Weapon Axe of the Eclipse "Probably one of those upgrades so the advice changes"
Hit > Dodge

Then keep going until your Dodge is up with Parry this is just one example of the next move
eg:
Hands Finger of Light
Parry > Dodge

Edit: Also the trinket Darkmoon card: Earthquake is sexy but not the best. I forget which Darkmoon one is great but I have both trinkets from Tol Borad for Mastery.
