Plz help with pally tank

Hey guys
im a nub to tanking im lvl 85 and have just started tanking hc's plz explain what the avoidance cap is and what is the cap of each ability like for example: dodge =10%
parry= 11% etc

im struggling i just need to knw what all the caps are supposed to be at and how i can get the right gear and how to reach the caps plz

There aren't any caps in any meaningful sense.

You want gear with ideally Dodge + Mastery or Parry + Mastery. Dodge + Parry is fine, and Hit or Expertise + Mastery will do.

Take quest rewards with those stats. Buy rep rewards with those stats. Run normal dungeons and roll need on plate armour with those stats (plus Strength and Stamina). That's all there is to it.
