View Full Version : Warlock My UI and frames.

So I've recently decided to get rid of Xperl because it was lagging me out heaps - go figure...

I've gone back to the standard wow group frame that shows your group int he top left hand corner etc. I've seen in many vids that it's possible to get rid of that whole party frame - including my own characters - and just have my character frame sitting somewhere else where I decide to position it.

Does anyone have or know of any addons that can help me change that? Or any options in interface or something that can change this.
I'll post up a pic of how my screen currently looks now if you need a better idea.

Xperl does this doesn't it?

Hm =/ .

The simplest solution would be the addon MoveAnything!
With this addon you can mover around, scale and turn off all the elements of the standard WoW UI. So If you have any issues with framerate problems through to addons that might be the way to go.

Of course there are a vast number of unitframe addons such as xperl

Ag UnitFrames gives you the basic options to move around your frames and change size, bars, etc. (at least the last time I checked). So if you want something different then the standard bars but not drown with the options check it out.

Shadowed Unit Frames is another mod that lets you change the bars. I never used it personally (I tried to use the raidframe and went crazy because I couldn't get it to work) but it seems highly configurable so you might need some time to get it to work.

Pitbull is the unitframe addon that I use and it can do almost everything you want it to do. However the options are numerous and the menu huge so you will definitely time to figure out how it works.

So my recommendation would be to check out MoveAnything! and AG UnitFrames because they are easy to use and should to the trick.

Hope it helps!

It has! Thank you heaps!

I kept spamming in guild to see if anyone knew anything about it, and I've tried out Pitbull. Took me a little bit to work everything out, but now it's working great!

Cheers :)

Pitbull for Unit Frames (Pitbull Link (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/pitbull4.aspx)) and Grid for Raid Frames (Grid Link (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/grid.aspx)). They take a little setup but are very worth it. If you are a tank I would also mention that Aloft (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10864-AloftBeta.html)is VERY nice to have and I also recommend Satrina Buff Frames (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/satrina-buff-frame.aspx) to handle your buffs/debuffs.

EDIT: Also something else to add is grab Grid Status Raid Debuff (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/grid-status-raid-debuff.aspx) to go with your Grid

Aloft was pretty good, but I found i liked tidyplates better. Seems to have less of a footprint and the autoconfiguration based on role is nice..although it keeps thinking that my mages' fire spec is a healing spec and frankly, I find that a bit insulting.
