View Full Version : DPS Back to DPS(Fury) need some advice

I have to admit that I haven't done DPS in about 2 years now. I'm MT Prot warrior, but I keep picking up extra badges and DPS gear on ICC runs lately. So I decided to go back and try to pass some time with a DPS spec till Cataclysm. I could really use some help with it though I think. I've run the number through Landsoul's spreadsheet and of course it says I should be rolling 7k buffed. I think my best so far is a VOA 25 where I hit 4800. Any advice with my gear would be appreciated. I'm trying to stick with the standard WW-BT-Proc rotation. Thanks

I would advice to start with this guide Fury Warrior Guide (http://www.tankspot.com/showthread.php?57781-Wotlk-Fury-Warrior-Guide)

I have read the Fury guide and it got me going. One of things I'm trying to really sort out is gear. Rotation is just going to take more practice at this point. I made some changes to gear tonight and managed 5700 in VOA 10m. On the heroic dummy with just self buffed I run about 3k.

Landsoul's. Download Landsouls and find out what your gearing upgrades will look like. Especially if there are any easily farmable upgrades.
Also, don't shun agility gear. Sometimes, like the triumph rings, agility is better. The Agi triumph ring > Str Triumph ring.
Any gem with +Sta will almost, in every case, be a DPS loss to hit the socket bonus. You're better off gemming +20 Exp.
The agility meta (+21 agility/+3% crit damage) is considered better than the +21 crit meta now because a single Nightmare's Tear (+10 all stats) activates it, freeing up another slot for a +20 Str/ArP gem (ArP as you gear up higher).
