Hi, I just wanted to ask if anyone has any comments about my warrior's tanking gear.

Even though I raid ICC, I am a bit of a noob when it comes to min/maxing and what stats I should look out for. If you could spare a few moments to look it over and recommend any improvements i would be very grateful.

Pretty solid gears, only flaw I've found is the +10dodge +15stamina gem in the leggings.

These aren't flaws tbh, but just a couple of things to think about, since you mentioned mix/maxing. The bracers from Saurfang in 10-man have the best EH; Gargoyle Spit Bracers (http://www.wowhead.com/item=50802). You could also exchange the boots Grinning Greatskull Boots (http://www.wowhead.com/item=50190) and get extra hit from the Noose of Malachite (http://www.wowhead.com/item=50195), just to get your Exp up a little without losing hit rating. Basically the rule I have is go for EH, as long as threat is not an issue and you have hit/exp in balance.

If threat is not an issue, then you should never worry about gearing for hit or expertise regardless. And if you are having threat problems, 99.9% of the time its a rotation issue and not hit/expertise issue. The 25 rotface neck is superior to the 25 valithria one you linked, because of the bonus armor on it. Pretty much if it has bonus armor, you're going to want it.

Yes, I know and you're right, you do want to generally gear for armor wherever you find it but A) I did not know if he had threat issues. I like to ride my hit and expertise pretty high, close to the caps. Hit rating also increases in importance if you go for hard modes, for when you need to taunt and wanna make it miss less. B) Armor loses significance outside the melee heavy fights in ICC, so it isn't an answer-to-all stat.

You missed the agility enchant on the gloves, replace with armor or stamina. I have no answer for the other posters that hasn't already been said 1000 times.

You do not need to be anywhere near the cap, use the glyph for the 8% and then you need 160 hit tops(with no draenei and I could be off a few points at the 160). Which fights are not melee heavy? Take out the melee and you lose the chance at a gib on any boss, bonus armor items are>anything else because they add to your EH, and that is your top priority to live longer.

That's why you carry around a set of taunt glyphs + whatever glyph you'll temporarily replace the taunt glyph with. The only fights I can think of where a missed taunt will be a wipe is heroic saurfang, heroic sindragosa, heroic putricide possibly with the p3 taunts, and heroic lich king if you tank swap for soul reaper and whatnot. Throw a taunt glyph in for these respective fights, put your normal glyphs back in when they're over.

Just because something is the way you prefer to do it doesn't always mean it is the correct way.
