I'm a warrior tank with 39.7k hp unbuffed, 25.5k armor, 558 defense, 27.28% dodge, 20.52% parry, 16.32% block. (Gearscore value of 4949)

I'll provide an armory link once it's updated me in my tank stuff.(It's in my fury stuff atm)

Sounds like you should be able to do so, but a link to your armory would help.

Looks like you should be good for ICC10 even ICC25 (1st wing at least).

Put 225 Armor on the cloak.
Get an enchant for your weapon, I think Blade Ward is the current enchant to use.
Farm Reg ToC for http://www.wowhead.com/item=47216 if you don't have it to us instead of the Essence, or buy the Glyph with your Triumph Emblems.
Might want to put Tusker's Vitality on the boots instead, because of the movement increase it is considered better, even though it is less stamina.
Farm Reg HoR for the http://www.wowhead.com/item=49835 its the best shield outside of raids.

Blade Ward? don't you mean blood draining?

Other things: Shoulder enchant - get the PvP enchant: http://www.wowhead.com/item=44957 the extra HP is worth the loss in avoidance.
Chest: Enchant with 275 HP, it is far better than 10 stats.
Shield: I prefer 18 stam, I like the HP over the small amount of avoidance 20 defense gives (both are relatively small increases though, but in ICC you should stack as much EHP as possible, especially when just starting out in my opinion)
Legs: Don't gem for parry, it gives you the lowest returns of any of the red gems (except maybe str). Imo either go 10agi/15 stam 10dodge/15stam or 10exp/15 stam

Otherwise, what he said ^

Tip: don't mention gearscore, especially when talking about tanking. But yes you should be able to clear 11/12 at least on normal. I entererd ICC 10 in full 245 heroic gear from ToGC10 so you're not far off, but with the 20% buff you're much better set then I was at the time.

So its Blood Draining for Warriors and Blade Ward/Mongoose for Paladins then?

Gearing and gemming/enchanting choices between the 3 plate tanks generally don't differ. Its a choice between Blood Draining, Blade Ward or Mongoose for all 3 classes and there isn't really such thing as enchant per class.

Blood Draining and Mongoose are comparable. I prefer Blood Draining. I do not recommend Blade Ward at all. If your looking for some math to digest check out the many, many threads on the subject in the Gear and Enchanting Forums.

i'm a death knight tank, but I mostly see warriors with blood draining and paladins with blade ward
