Looking for any advice I could have for tanking. Especially with gears to roll for at ICC10( or even other raids like TOC or even heroics), and ICC10 tanking strategies/ blood, frost AOE tanking strategies/ what gears to aim for first..and how do you tank HOR!? Everytime at wave 9 or 8, too much hp drains out from me. If I use my cooldown at wave 8 I don't have enough good cooldowns to keep me alive. Any help :=/?

Thanks for help.

What results are you trying to get with your Frost Spec? Because it is all wonky.
And your Blood seems a bit suboptimal to me too.

Gear:
Helm - Change that +10 Stats gem to Hit/Stam or Def/Stam. +10 Stats is a bad gem for tanks to use.
Neck - ToC/ICC/Onyxia raids, or H HoR instance.
Chest - 264 Frost non-set chest - enchant with 275 Health
Hands - 264 Frost non-set gloves (after getting the chest) or farm VoA for the gloves.
Legs - ICC raid, crafted ICC legs or farm VoA for the legs.
Boots - crafted ICC boots - only boot drops will be just before the LK in ICC, so get the crafted ones.

Weapons - Get rid of the Falrics, anything but a Fast DPS weapon would be better than that. Get a Nighttime, Rimefang's Claw or Black Icicle to replace it.

Professions, either work on Inscriptions and get it up to where you get your shoulder enchant or dump it for Blacksmithing or Jewelcrafting (either of which would be far better).

I suggest going with http://www.wowhead.com/talent#j0EoZhxe0A0I0c0fuzAo0x:ksamVM as base for your DW Frost Tank spec, you have 3 points to play with, I suggest filling out Scent of Blood or putting points into Epidemic.
Glyphs are:
Icy Touch or Howling Blast
Frost Strike or Rune Strike
Obliterate (EVERY Frost DK should have this one)

The following works very well for Blood Tanking: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#j0EGoIhIobofcshhxZ0ghh:dpiVMm

Hello there,

Lets count my advice as different to the normal Gear , Enchant and Gem.

Learn exactly what your Char class is, from http://www.wowwiki.com/Death_knights_as_tanks . Click on every topic that is Blue and even re read stuff you though you knew, or were told. In that Website after the slash / Tanking , Warrior, Block , Combat Raids etc etc most WoW words you can Imagine. The Wikipedia of WOW :o)

Your characters Gear is fine for ICC 10, for 1st 6 bosses maybe, in my humble opinion. Go and learn and have fun. My char new there also and similar Gear wise. Bosses were killed.

Use sites like http://www.wow-heroes.com/ to look at other DK Tanks. See what Talent Tree the Best are using - youll notice most are similar. Spy their Gear and Enchants and Stats. Their Raid progression there also . Lets you find new Gear also without asking Forums. :o)

Now your actually in ICC. Make sure you have DBM running (set it up to inform Raid all the Bosses youll meet SPells,Abilities.. In fact have every Boss in every Raid and Heroic 5 man clicked. You can even have a look at their exact abilites names and link em in party/raid chat. Now all will know what happens next in fight , and commands it will say to do like STOP attacking etc .

Have loaded before hand also Boss Tactics add on. When you are in WOW, Raid whatever click icon and have a look at bosses, see their spells, what to do to negate abilites etc. Tells you what Tank , Healers DPS etc should do in the fight. It gives tips that cant be found in certain Videos of Raids.

Wee tip is to highlight 2 lines of text from anywhere in that Boss Tactics and right click copy or use Ctrl + C. Then click back on Party Chat / Raid Chat and press Ctrl+V to paste...... In time you can summarise the top points to any disbeleiver in under 1minute. Vent is better but ofc now you have Strategy in front of you also and can speak to others or read for yourself.

Last 2 Main Points which , again , ignore if you already know. NEVER EVER let Mobs , enemy hit you from back, or even side. You cannot Parry or Block( not for a DK ofc) an Attack that isnt from the front...... Get your Tanks ass moving even small back ward jerks just to get mobs where your char can see them. For my Warrior , everything in every Raid I'll turn to face its ass to group so it also cant block, Parry my DPS friends slashing Hacks.... Caramon moves a lot... facing enemy as I walk backwards , or Taunt to me or charge ,Intercept away. Also allows me to see what escapes my Aggro. Omen 3 add on ofc get :)
http://www.wowwiki.com/Attack_speed as a Dual Wielding Class again something you should learn..... http://www.wowwiki.com/Parry some DK stufff there also.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Melee_mitigation - The Tanks / Melee best source of advice I can find in easy format. I'm Sure you get my idea now...

Lastly, use Symbols for Targets every time so it becomes 2nd nature. Tell people that kill SKull, Ornage , Blue then Star (SOBS for short). Or whatever mix of symbols that suits you. Get used to as soon as a mob ready to die to target and attack a new 1 and stick a skull over it... The DPS will focus their attacks on 1 enemy. After few seconds, attck other 2 spares and Aggro as you feel fit. Move SKull everytime to show what YOU are attacking ...Raids appreciate this. Controls Aggro in your favour also. In time you can be master of this.

Now you will have more knowledge and Control. The Gear will follow. Here is Gems your Interested in http://www.wowwiki.com/Defense_gems , Here is your Definitive List of all Enchantments , again on 1 Page. http://www.wowwiki.com/Enchantments_by_slot.

Sorry about it long winded and perhaps sounding at going Back to Basics stage. But works for me. Hope it can be of at least some benefit to you also.

Here is Gems your Interested in http://www.wowwiki.com/Defense_gems

At your gear level you do not need to gem for defense, so ignore this. Gem stamina all the way unless you either need to satisfy a meta gem requirement or if the bonus is big enough to warrant a hybrid gem (very seldom). Do not gem for hit or expertise unless you need it for your threat.
